Dolphins that need to pack their bags

Another CB who doesnt cost us 10 mil per season and still give up big plays.

Dude, every CB gives up big plays. It happens. Sam just had a bad game. Every CB does. It happens. But Sam has been SHUTDOWN SAM the previous 7 games. How many CBs have shutdown Marvin Harrison and Rod Smith this season??

I've got news for you: when you've got an extremely talented player......if you don't pay big money for him, someone else will.

which reminds me: we need a couple of new DT's!!! and lose rob burnett and jay williams they suck! Tim bowens needs to go to he is a fat lazy piece of $H!*

You obviously our out of your depth.

Sam is a Pro Bowler and stays. It s crazy to believe otherwise.

Fletcher is playing better? Hell it couldn't have been worse!! Still he isn't making any picks and is getting beat. Not accpetable for a first round pick making first round money.

Hendricks? Well you have to have back-ups and he as good a number 2 as there is. I amore concerned with our starting OLBs who never make a play. never a sack, never an interception, nothing. I have never sen anything like it. I mean you barely hear Greenwoods and Rodgers name all game long. Amazing. They have half the tackles that Zach has. HALF!!

But when the dust settles this offseason the priprites have to be:

1. O line
2. Back-up QB
3. OLB
4. Safety
5. Nickel DB
6. Punter

Safety? Arturo Freeman and Brock Marion have both played very well, and Wooden is a good backup. Safety is not a priority at all!

yeah its funny how every CB gives up big plays, unless your talking about jamar fletcher. if your saying your happy about sam madison, fine, live with it. you make your bed, you sleep in it. ill bet any amount of money that madison gets burned against coles. If your willing to pay a guy 6- 10 million/year(depending on what year of the contract it is)just to get burned once a week, then fine. u live with it. i dont have to. we will not have any draft picks or money for that matter to get all those things people are listing. its just high hopes for a lot of nothing. we will have to cut our losses somewhere, and believe me, someone big will be gone. or we will be the same old sad song. thats right, ive given up. but i feel free. :monkey: Jim Bates and the defensive scheme

fletcher is getting burned? in the last three weeks ive seen fletcher play very well. but that is besides the point, which is that sam madison is overpaid for what he is giving us. he's gotten beat alot these past two years. dont get me wrong, i would love to keep him, not for 6 million. no way no how. take a serious pay cut or blow. thats what i would do.
and in case your wondering why our Lb's suck, its the scheme! how many times does it have to be said? how many games do you need to watch to wonder what the hell our lb's are always doing 5 yards back(all 3) every down! Im crazy? i think not. bill belichik is a champion becuase he devises changes constantly. we just line up and same ol same ol. its like watching paint dry. im getting frustrated cus this is not rocket science!

HUH? Our safties have played "very well"?

They have both missed numerous key tackles this year. We have still given up a few long passes (with no deep help).

I'm sorry, but I think we are watching two different teams.

No, we are watching the same team.

You people have to realize that all defensive backs allow big plays. There aren't any who don't! We have the best damn secondary in the league, and if we didn't have Madison, then people would be throwing against us like crazy all day long.

Too many people are making stupid comments about Arturo Freeman. The only time people start saying things is if he gets beaten. Rewind all the tapes of the season. Watch the amount of plays he makes, especially around the edges. He flies to the ball very well, takes good angles, does an excellent job as a dime cover back - he rarely has a pass caught against him and watch him solely when he is in man coverage and his tackling is usually solid. Yeah he wasn't at his best against KC or Green Bay, but look at the bigger picture. There is no way that Miami looks to replace him, or likely Marion for at least a year, and with Wooden as the #3, the safety position is solid. I think it's interesting that the team has kept Omare Lowe hanging around. I wonder whether they see him as the long term replacement for Brock Marion, as he played some safety at Washington and has the size, ball skills and tackling ability to possibly shift over.

As for Fletcher still getting beat - I haven't seen it. All too often people start looking for targets and the fickle reactions are astonishing.

I'm in the belief that Freeman has taken poor angles, gotten faked out in coverage, blown assignments and generally played average. He is a solid player, but an upgrade is needed if possible. Although I don't feel it's a top priority right now.

A few of our coaches have to go. First and foremost, Jim Bates has to go! We need a D-coordinator who plays to our strengths and the opponents weaknesses. We are very easy to game plan against since every team knows we are gonna do the same thing. We need to be dominant with what we have on D.

Obviously O-line is a point we need to address, but what about Wise? We have regressed with him as O-line coach and I truly feel he's not the guy for this team.

We can cut a few guys and make some cap room. We should get at least 3 comp picks next year, with this being a draft full of talent, we can address many positions with those picks. Alot of guys need to be replaced IMO and bring in guys who are tougher and have more fire than some of these more talented, less driven, players like we have.

I have never forgiven Madison for walking off the field arm-in-arm with Coles after Coles made him his personal bitch. I want a player who's pissed and breathing fire after he loses, someone who actually CARES and not just there for fun and money.

If you watch Greenwood in games look for him when a RB cuts back. He is horrible. He bites inside EVERY time. I don't think he understands the OLB job of containment. I'm sure the coaches have been working on him with this but he keeps doing it every week. Ahman Green had many of his yards because of cutting back to his side. I hope he figures this out...... SOON!

I don't know that those players exist anymore.....

You never would have seen Jack Lambert, Dick Butkus or any of the old school nasty players doing that. I even hate when the guys help the other teams player off the ground. What's with that? You're in a battle, let that guy lay there and wonder if he has the strength to get up 20 more times that game!

Our high school coach was an ex Dolphins LB from the perfect season.... Larry Ball.

He got pissed if any of us helped any of the other teams players up. Our O-Line coach used to say that if you want to do anything step on them as you get up!

The NFL has almost become like an intramural flag tourney league.
A bunch of friends playin a game before going out for a beer.

Jimmy Johnson said it best last year on Monday night football.
If you want football back the way it was and at the highest level of play make the players paychecks dependant on their actual level of play per game!
