Dolphins Top Team On Player Report Card

Fantastic news hopefully brings some guys in or resigning cheaper than market value. People underestimate this and could be the difference between a guy like Van Ginkel who has a wife and kids and has been here his whole career from possibly staying in Miami for say 6.5 million a year when he could probably get 9 million somewhere else.

Of course, there’s all that winning with the Chiefs. But that’s nice to hear. Ross did get caught with tampering, but other than that, he gets more flack than he deserves. He’s always happy to spend money which is very important.
 
For the coaching grades, for it to make sense:

Every two sections is one grade… meaning:

A+/A = 100-90 (A)

A-/B+ = 89-80 (B)

B/B- = 79-70 (C)

C+/C = 69-60 (D)

Josh McDaniels = F


Then if you really wanna break it down further, you need to see the actual scores for each, not their lumped together grade, and you can get into their ACTUAL grades.

Either way, it looks nice to see owner, coach, and team getting high praise. At the very least, it means if all other things equal, we’re more likely to get tiny discounts in free agency or players picking us over XYZ.

Edit: just saw that last link provided with more breakdown… funny the remark on McDaniels being “okay” with managing their time… he sometimes rambles on with his “feel good” thoughts/topics/points that feel cheesy and at times unoriginal. Great guy, might just need to tone down the story time a bit.

If you look at the Chiefs and the 49ers, it would be easy to come to that conclusion…
 
chiefs ranked bottom 3 so this means nothing.

We have always attracted big name free agents here and look where it's gotten us.

Right, another offseason award that has nothing to do with winning. Not upset about this, Ross doing everything he can and I think and hope we’ll pick up players we might not have due to this reputation.

But ya the chiefs suck and dolphins rule report card lands a bit hollow. But heh it’s the offseason, take what you can get I guess.
