I live in NJ with directv. And i too tried to DVR the dolphin shows on FSFL i think it was "inside the fins". Then i was all ready to watch and all i got was that this show was blacked out in your area.. ITS BS!!! i hate directv soooo much but i just keep it for the sunday ticket. I really dont know why they woould block out a show??? its not a live sporting event?
If you live in New Jersey you wont het FSFL you only get Fox sports for the area in which you live, the other fox sports areas are blacked out.
Example ,I live in Tennessee and I get FSTN or Foxsports Tenn and any game on that station is considered local and I can watch, unless a game is blacked out,but tv shows related to that channel I always get and are never blacked out.But again, since I dont live in the Florida and Miami area,I do not get there local sports Fox Sports..... FSFL chanell.
Maybe this could help though,of you wanted to give it a try. Someone told me you could call in to Direct TV,tell them you had moved and live in the Florida/Miami area part time and have installed a satelite there, and thus would like to change your LOCAL TV programming to that area, and thus you would be able to watch the Dolphins games from where-ever you live. Tel them to leave the billing at the same address in which you really live though,as a friend picks the bill up for you there.
Basically its the same as camping.I go camping and take my Direct TV with me,I can get a signal anywhere, and you are allowed to do that, but to recieve the channel programming from that area, like the local channels, you are suppose to live there. But who is to say you dont and have a timkeshare,or vacation home there as a get away,or what-ever. You will lose your New Jersey programming local of course, but hey,you get to watch the Dolphins and all there games. Hope that was clear enough explained and maybe helps some.
