Dolphins vs AFC East in FA?

We need to win more than 2 games in our division to go anywhere this year. Did we improve more than the rest in FA?

Miami- Albert, Smith, Delmas, Moreno, and Mitchell.

NE- Revis, Browner, and LeFell.

Jets- Decker, Vick and Giacomini.

Buff- Spikes.

All 3 of our division opponents are rumored to be in the running to add Jackson, and Buff is rumored to be looking to trade up to #1 in the draft.

How would you compare our FA vs the rest of or division? Did we do better or worse, so far?
 
The Fins have been very solid to this point.

The Pats did nice work with their secondary.

The Bills were quietly okay.

The Jets blew chances to get better.
 
Miami - B+
New England - B
NY Jets - C
Buffalo - D

Even though I think we got better players overall, New England is known for maximizing talent. Revis is still a top two CB and better than Talib.
 
What did the Broncos end up shelling out so far for free agents? Over $80mil. Yet the team that knew Decker best, didn't even give him a token offer for appearances-sake... and might well have upgraded with a cheaper Emmanuel Sanders. Go figure :idk:
 
The Fins haven't made the splash in FA that they did last offseason, but I definitely think they have spent more wisely to this point. The Pats have improved their secondary greatly but they always find a way to put themselves in position for another title run so no big surprises there. I am not overly impressed by the Vick and Decker signings for the Jets honestly. I am in the minority I guess because I thought Geno Smith was starting to show signs of life for them late last season and benching him for Vick may just be a step in the wrong direction. Then again, I won't be terribly upset if that team implodes yet again :D
 
I know we don't like the jets but Eric Decker is a nice addition. If they add desean that's a scary combo. Still though with geno they won't do much. Vick sucks at this point too. Patriots dolphins bills jets in that order cuz geno stinks. Qb driven league.
 
The problem with the dolphins is that we've been in the middle far too long.

All I'll say is coming into last year I thought we were clearly the 2nd best team in the division with the only chance to overtake NE. Coming into 2014 I have no idea which of the 3 teams will emerge as competition for the Pats. I hope it's us but won't be surprised if it's the Jets or Bills. We had more issues than LT last season.

FA won't help us win the division anyway... It didn't last year, and it won't this year. It all depends on the development of 2nd year players and the rookies.

Unfortunately, I think that we are outmatched by the other teams when it comes to coaching. It all comes down to Tannehill's development IMO.

It's got nothing to do with my hatred for the Jets really. I am just skeptical as to how productive he will be in that offense. Time may very well prove me wrong. We'll see.
 
I think we have had as good a free agency or better than anyone in the East. Although it isn't over yet, so still need to see how it finishes up. I think the draft will tell a lot about our future.

As for the East.....I'm not so set on thinking we can't compete for the division. If RT takes the next step, and we establish a running game, I think we will be a team for the Patriots to worry about.
 
dolphins have done a much better job in fa than any team in the division.even think we have done better than last year.
 
To me, it isn't just who is brought in, it is also who you lost. Are the Dolphins better today than they were last season? I would say so. Are the Patriots? Maybe a little. The Jets? Slight downgrade. Bills? Downgraded.
 
To me the pats got better on the defensive side and still have brady. They will win the division. Hopefully we are in the playoff hunt but we got work to do still
