Dolphins vs Bills Pre-game discussion

to be fair, Cam is only in his 6th nfl season. lol So he may be 32, but he doesn't have as much wear on his body as someone who has been in the league for 10 or 11, as most 32 year old nfl players have been.

Yeah but it's not like he was a professional kitten cuddler, he was playing in Canada. Those fields are like 2 miles long so some could say he was running more.

Most division 1 college teams can beat any of the CFL teams. Besides, he was there for only 2 years.

I know man. Just joking around. His fitness regime must be sick though. The guys motor doesn't stop.

This game will be decided in the trenches, last year they kicked our asses in this department, which led to a series sweep. We control the line of scrimmage, we win going away. Final score Miami 28, Bills 17.

Polar opposite team from last week. Its gonna be a real test, if we can beat them at their own game, or if we try to beat them with passing and finesse plays. Personally I think if we match their intensity and bring it straight to them our phins can out muscle them. It sure is nice having the likes of Moreno, Finnegan, delmas, and Albert, all four of them are gonna have to play big. I say Finnegan because he brings so much fire, much needed fire... And because he may be doing a lot of tackling on some very good backs. I liked how we handled vereen and the screen game last week, Mitchell and Starks both did great recognizing them and making plays on the runner. Should be a great game. Dolphins 27, bills 23. Miller has a huge run late to go ahead.

the starting left tackle isn't a rookie. he's actually pretty good. shut down Jared Allen.

OV will probably go up against the LT Glenn. Wake will go up against the rookie. Unless the swap positions.

My mistake and even better for us. Wake will destroy him.

Such a huge game on many levels.
1. We owe Buffalo one.
2. There are still many questions to be answered. Was the Pats defense that bad or was our offense that good?
3. Big game for the standings. The Jets are going to 1-1. The Patriots could easily go to 0-2. And a win would put us 1.5 games up on the Bills and if the Pats lose we're effectively 1.5 up on the division (Jets don't count).

We won game one in the trenches on both sides of the ball and I have a feeling it'll be the skill players making a statement this week on both sides. Two or three picks for our defense and a 90+ rating for Tannehill. Which would translate to about 31-10.

I just don't see the Bills stopping our read-option for 60 min. They'll be stuffing the box early - with Moreno coming off a big week and should force Tanny to win it. Tanny tucks a few off the read, might even get a rushing td. Intermediate routes will be key - Gibson and Landry should get more touches.

Mia 24 Buf 17

I dont see there CB's aside from Nikel Robey maybe as great and Wallace can burn these guys easy IMO. I think this is a game to get Gibson involved in. He had a great game against them in the first one last year.

Dion Sims blocking and getting more involved downfield is also interesting to me.

My biggest fear is not the Bills DL. Its turnovers. If we turn it over 3 times in this one, not sure we could win. But this offense is showing something powerful.

This one will be on T-Hill, I would like to be proven wrong, but I don't see us having 200 yds rushing against the Bills DL.

Bills gave up 4.8 YPC against CHI, but CHI only ran the ball 18 times.

If needed, look for Miami to use Lamar Miller on the Fly/Jet Sweeps - with Moreno as the HB and some read/option where Tannehill keeps the ball. But I don't see this Miami Dolphins team losing its commitment to the running game.

Can't abandon the run...

Miami's line fired off and got after their guys, but I thought the RB's did an excellent job of reading those blocks to get to the second level...if they can do that with consistency, Miami will be a playoff team

ej manuel sure looks like he's staring down some things to me...might see a louis delmas pick sunday...it was only one game but he has ball instincts and awareness that trump chris clemons any day...some route recognition also...wouldn't surprise me at all if he jumps one

offensive gameplan is pretty simple to me...work the read option continue to pass out of those looks do not run the qb to contact miami did a nice job of using read option but not exposing the qb to unnecessary contact against the patriots there was times after we etablished the run he could have kept it and turned a soft corner but i'd much rather just keep working that inside zone game like the skins did rg3's rookie year with the understanding that the sledding is gonna be tough...brandon spikes is filling vs the inside run like a boss...i don't care...stick with it...expose him off pa and in space

run a few outside pitch plays to the backs when you get a soft corner look...should be a few opportunities for it if we keep showing em read option looks and they start trying to adjust to it personel wise...just make sure you run it out of the same personnel you show on other things...

do not get cute on offense..i dont want to see a lot of razzle dazzle stuff in the backfield with the ball changing hands like 3 times the bills front is all out effort on every snap they will shoot gaps and be in your backfield in a hurry...play it smart

if you want to work vertical work it off pa max protect type stuff with 2 wrs...run a intermediate crosser and a vertical one or a post route etc into the middle of the field but do it on early downs when you are gonna get a ton of zone coverage looks especially because of their want to hide the lbs in coverage...expect it

i'd run the action to mario williams side with james and sims on the edge to deal with him if he sees run action wide his way he will have to respect it and james can seal the inside and sims can impede him around the edge and you should have time to carry out the wide fake set your feet and fire...albert should be able to handle the backside rusher likely jerry hughes off that action

and if you dont have it with either of those 2 routes check to the rb on the play action and see if a lb has lost coverage contain there for a potential dump off and one on one opportunity in space

attack the lbs on early downs...get them in space...

not a hard gameplan at all...comes down to execution and our oline play...offense wise

I think the Phins can easily run on them....while the front 4 is very good, the LB's are average...

Early in the Pats game, the Dolphins ran an adorable play in which they faked a screen to the WR and came back to a screen on the other side to the RB....most teams have this in their playbook, but with the motion stuff...it looked really nice.
