Dolphins vs Chiefs

HUGE game to see where the AFC title game is played. If we lose, we would have to travel to KC in January to play rather than sunny Florida. We need to come out and find a way to win this game. Need to have a spy, perhaps Baker or Holland, on Mahomes all game. Control Kelce with 2 guys when possible. Have Phillips or Chubb knock him off his route.

Dolphins Win if the defense make Mahomes a Drop back passer instead of him sliding left or right and hitting Kelsey for those 15 yards gains to convert first downs, and run to him and then reach to tackle him instead of running with your arms extended to tackle him.

I think we have a great chance. I really wish we had armstead and Achane. I know we might get armstead back. I think on those runs Achane would run all over the chiefs backers.

If there is rain, I hope they close the roof. I have nightmares of that rainy game against the Titans at the end of the Flores. Tua didn't play well in the weather, and I'm sure his confidence was at an all-time low, given all we have learned about his relationship with Flores.
The gameplan was more of an issue than the rain in that game. Or should I say the lack of a gameplan. The decision to come out throwing in bad weather was typically moronic. And designed more to make Tua look bad than anything else.

Duke Johnson was running hard and barely touched the ball.

I’m not putting a spy on Mahomes. I’m doubling Kelce all day. I’m taking him out of the equation (as much as is possible). If you take away Kelce, scoring becomes a struggle for KC.

No Kelce against the Lions? Chiefs score 20 and lose.

4 catches for 26 yards against the Jags? Chiefs score 17.

6 catches for 60 yards against the Jets? Chiefs score 23.

6 catches for 58 yards against the Broncos? Chiefs score 9.

I was at that game. It wasn't just rain. It was 30 something degrees, sleet...just gross. Plus the Titans came off a mini bye while the fins had a short week and travel. The whole team looked sluggish. I wouldn't fret too much about 50 and drizzle. Not even the same weather.

Neutralize Kelce. Mahomes is likely still sick with the flu. Overseas game for both. I like our chances.

I think we can outscore them, but I worry about their DL vs our OL. I think that will be the key to the game.

If we can have a balanced attack with the run game churning and our OL playing well, plus our DL playing like they did against the Eagles....we win.

If our O-line is relatively heathy, I’m not overly worried about the Chiefs D-line. Particularly because the Chiefs are also banged up at LB. We can get the ball out quickly enough to neutralize the Chiefs D-line.
