Blount would be my vote, or wait for the draft.
 
If they want a big thumper then the answer is Blount.....MJD is done,
 
Blount is definitely a bruiser, and he does know how the Pats are gonna line up against the run, which is to our benefit. He is a good plan B is MJD falls through.
 
Sherman/Philbin didn't want a FB or a RB who wasn't a receiving option. Didn't want to tip our hat so clearly to defenses.

Has Philbin changed his mind? Is Lazor OK with rush-only RBs? I'm not so sure, I don't expect us to bring a guy like Blount in.

Plenty of dual-threat guys in the draft, some of whom can pick up a blitz also.
 
Well if Blount or any other FA...why hasnt there been any smoke on it? Not a "smidgen" of a hint of interest by Hickey out there. I sure hope they're not looking to take a RB at #19. Taking Blount makes way too much sense for us to take him.

Sankey is nice, and runs like a bigger back, but isn't much more than 210 (I don't think). For the record I think signing Blount would be a mistake. NE is the first place he's EVER played where he didn't physically fight teammates. Dude just isn't a good teammate.
