Dolphins work out RB LaMichael James

I would love that we kicked the tires on James but the dude straight up quit on the 49ers. He said "I don't want to play for this team anymore." They kept him on the roster, he went out and apparently sucked week one, and then they cut him.

Do you really want to cut somebody to sign that guy?

We should always take a deep breath and chill for a few moments before getting all excited about a guy who is available. They are available for a reason. I'm not thrilled with DT (who guess what? was still available) but he is familiar with the system. What I would like is for Williams to see a lot more playing time so we can find out if he is a viable option.

Of course they are going to let him walk without signing...argghhh

It would bring balance to the force... SF decided to be snake handlers.

Courious to know if he was looked at before the team opted to sign Thomas or are they looking for another back in addition to Thomas.

Not sure but Thomas can play right away without the learning curve as he knows the offense. They may looking at James for week 4 and beyond.

Can't believe we bailed on Reggie Bush for the hot garbage we have now. I'm mean we cut a 2nd round pick after 3 years and he was available a few weeks later to resign?

I just don't get it.

I recall a number of threads here saying "Get rid of Bush he dances too much. Miller is a much better back... he's already a top 10 back. Miller will rush for 1,500 yards or more." I know not everybody said things like that, but there were more people here screaming to not resign Bush than there were who wanted him back.

Reggie cost us the playoffs the season before. Don't forget about that one. Disregard that we were 7-9 and Cincinnati nabbed the second wild card spot at 10-6. Reggie alone cost us that berth.

To follow along, I guess Reggie also burned Andy Dalton. Or did he help Dalton? We'd have one fewer playoff loss to ridicule. And we could presumably credit Tannehill for reaching the playoffs as a rookie, although that would mean he regressed a season later, even though he was actually vastly improved in his second year.

All this adjusting makes me dizzy.

That's all you need to know about this board - so take everything being said now with a grain of salt .... including what get's said if we win next week.

I wanted him back.....Jake Long too

Nothing better than Danielle Thomas running behind a Jonathan Martin block....
I would like to see Hickey get Mike James from Tampa bay. I think he is better than Thomas.
A big back that runs with power.

I was just thinking of this 10 min ago! I'll admit i didn't watch a ton of U games during his time there because i live in California. However, every time i did have the chance to watch one of their games James stood out to me. If i remember right he was there with Miller and another back that they shuffled in and out, and to me James looked like the best running back prospect. He played well for Tampa last year for a few games before getting hurt against us i believe. If i remember right he started off hot against us too before the injury.

Hickey make it happen!
