Dolphins working on deal for Louis Delmas

We are playing vs his former division this year. The guy does hit..i bieleve he is the one who hurt finleys head. Who is going to cover deep!?

You better feel comfortable with Jimmy Wilson starting some games if you sign Delmas

And yes Delmas has injury issues too. Why do we seem to keep looking at players who have had too many injuries?

I said the same thing yesterday. Delmas and Albert both have a history

It is obvious that Joe wants to jettison Ireland's impact from this team right or wrong. Grimes does not count because he entered when Joe was here.

Doesn't everyone want to jettison Ireland's impact?

I don't like this at all...

Me either. Yes he played all 16 games last season but he has a long history of injuries. On top of that I don't see that much of an improvement, if any at all, over Clemons. Plus Clemons knows the system. If Miami is going to go after someone with medical red flag I'd much rather go after Stevie Brown. Guy was an Int machine 2 years ago. More INTs in that 1 season than Delams has in his 5 year career

I do not care. I try to judge if they happen to be good football players. My point is that Joe is putting his stamp on the team.

This doesn't make any sense.

Philbin loves Clemons. He has repeatedly singled him out as the exact type of player he wants on his team.

Hopefully its the situation where they are trying to leverage with Delmas to get Clemons to come back for less because Delmas is similar to Jones. They both have minimal range and are sort of playmakers. It would be a very bad defense if we have Delmas and Jones manning our secondary. It will turn into Bomb city.

My boss who is a Lions fan, basically offered his opinion on Louis Delmas. He flashes some nice talent and impact plays, however he is always banged up and hardly ever practices. He is not a reliable long term answer, but if you can keep him healthy he CAN help your football team.

IMO it's a backup plan.

They just handed grimes a long term deal, and there looking at some more with the oline, and who knows what else. Clemons long term probably isn't what there looking to do.

I prefer Clemons. However, I was thinking that if we signed Delmas to a cheap contract, we could potentially draft one of the top two safeties at #19 depending on how FA shakes out. It may be something to consider.

IF that were the plan, and it worked, I would be all for it.

Jimmy Wilson will be starting free safety half of the year due to Delmas getting injured, just watch
