I would take Edwards over Hartline, unfortunately. Hartline has never proven anything, except that he can make a difficult catch every 2 or 3 games. Edwards can win a game for you. Worth looking at, but only because our receiving corpse is the worst in football

More competition but Braylon is the epitome of diva reciver. Doesn't fit Philbin's mold of WRs that he likes.

Maybe the lack of interest from teams has humbled him.

Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald confirms the earlier report that free agent WR Braylon Edwards worked out for the Dolphins and says he has a "serious" chance of being signed.

Braylon Edwards burned us so many times when he was a jet. He is worth a look, I would like to see him up agaisnt the guys we have, to see if he is better or not. I think Philbin can handle his personality and will make it clear if he is signed. If he isn't as good as what we have, he can be cut, no harm done. At leastt they are looking at people, I remember many times in years past that good people were out there that would improve the team and we didn't even sniff. I hope that this is a sign that the dolphins feel they are close enough to compete and not rebuilding. I would hope this is true. I believe that Gerrard or Moore could get us to the playoffs, and I believe that we can compete with New England with our up tempo offense, and our defense will be in better shape and not as prone to be wore out by New England's up tempo offense. Braylon also knows the Jets, and their system, I see nothing but positives. I like when someone gets slapped with reality and has to prove themselves again.

With a guy like Plax out there, is Edwards really the best option?

Not sure what to think of this...Im not a fan of Braylon, but the seahwks front office and coaching seem to make alot of mistakes.

Braylon Edwards is a free agent. If we were going to sign him, we would have already. I don't think there is anything more to this story than Miami doing due diligence.
