Dolphins Workout WR Braylon Edwards

Did Edwards show up against our defense, did we not have one of the top defenses in the league, OK this should answer our question on rather we should bring this guy I to compete. I wouldn't give him anything, he would have to earn it!

Love to hear more from the brilliant....."we don't need top tier guys in this offense" that were all over the place after BM was traded. Now we are desperately scraping the FA market for any name past his prime.
In fairness, the Dolphins have been doing this for a while now; it didn't start this year.

He's serious shifty. Junc has always spoken fairly highly of Braylon.

Thank you. Even though I used a cartoon the text was still accurate. I honestly wasn't sure if he was serious. I just attempted to put an humorous twist on it.

Forgive my spelling. This was sent from my phone.

Well, I think I'd argue that. We used to overpay FA's early in offseason with players past prime....not scrape the barrel after realizing a gaping hole.

I still can't get past the fact that we had to get rid of BM because of all his "issues" off the field, despite him being a legit #1 WR. So we took the discounted picks and said we wanted to get younger and those without baggage. Now all of the sudden since that philosophy doesn't seem to be panning out so well, we start bringing in former start WR's that are somewhat past their prime in order to field anything close to a decent WR corps. Regardless if it makes us better or not at WR, you can't take drastic actions, get rid of your legit #1 WR, say you are going one way, only to abandon it a couple months later and do what you say you weren't going to do. This is why other teams and reporters rip us every chance they get. Is Philbin making these choices or is Ireland at work again!

Well it's just a question of timing then. Because Miami has long been where NFL careers go to die, and NFL players go to cash in one last paycheck based on the talent they once possessed (but which the Dolphins will never benefit from).

Braylon Edwards is past his prime? Isn't he only 29? Has Braylon ever had a good QB to play with? I thought he looked great with SF last year before he got injured.

it clearly tell us 3 things. Hartline's injury could be serious, Fins are not happy about the WR position, Fins could be in the market for a WR & them pursuing Wallace is not out of the question.

As much as I love the idea of the fins going after Wallace, I don't think the Edwards workout clearly tell us there is interest...My guess is this team does not want to give up draft picks, and I'm not sure they would have the money for Wallace.....

I think it tells us they are reviewing their options with Hartline out. I'm not sure why they don't cut Nanee and sign Edwards....I think there is better value there...

I think Marshall's bigger issues was his relationships with the QBs. Once things aren't going his way (such as with Henne) he becomes a prick, questions coaches decisions, and trys to ad lib plays on the field...then he publically disses Moore after a great showing in the pro bowl....Philbin wants a team guy not a me guy.....someone who can deal with issues maturely

Phins were projected next year to have one of the most available cap space after contracts expire. We have the money and we can find the way to make it work. Mike Wallace would be our Greg Jennings and i would be very happy to give up a 3rd rounder for him and give him the money ($10-11 mil per) he's 26 and is a top 10 receiver and is less of a headache than what Marshall was

Links to any real substance to BM being an issue with his QB, or garbage talked about coaching staff..... Besides his one liner during the Pro Bowl.

I know I can come up with garbage Chad has done....but he became a team guy when he came to Miami magically....LOL

IMO...Philbin has to do offseason over again, he keeps Marshall.

Chad has always been a team guy. Honestly, it's dishonest to put Chad in the same light as Brandon Marshall. Marshall has a history of badmouthing absolutely everyone in his wake.

Not to mention him ripping on Henne on the radio show last year. Give me a break. When will the Marshall apologists stop ignoring the blatant signs? The guy was run out of Denver, he was run out of Miami and yet HE'S the not so bad team player?
