Donald Driver a Dolphin rumor??

Really? How do you know?

You're telling me that a hard working receiver that has had success at the NFL level with preparation, determination, and maturity will have absolutely no effect on the development of a rookie? That this rookie is going to just make that transition seamlessly and would benefit nothing from a veteran? lol
mentorship is overrated.

Do you remember what Jason Ferguson did for Paul Solai. The first 2 years in Miami, Solai was called a bust by many on this board..

Driver would be a great mentor to the young receivers..
Finally someone who gets it! This guy would be able to come in and help develop the youngest receiving core in the nfl. He's a WCO guru and has also had a hand in helping the likes of Greg Jennings, Jordy Nelson, James Jones and jermichael Finley grasp that offense.

how can you be sure he didn't favre them?

Don't mention this to Aaron Rogers who learned from Brett Favre and now he is one of the best QB's in the league...

IMO - This guy Richard Matthews has the potential to be like Greg Jennings in this offense.. Imagine how he would benefit from Driver...

He's right. The dude is a workhorse and a good leader who has the utmost respect of the coach, which will easily endear him to the younger guys. Never hurts to have a leader in the locker room like DD. Having lost Bell, this team could definitely use someone like DD.

Nothing, Favre hated Rodgers and Montana hated Young, like you said mentorship is overrated

Nothing? Even if Favre and Montana didn't mentor Young and Rodgers, you have to learn something sitting behind 2 of the best QBs of all time.

This is pretty silly. The fact that they were in ALL of the same meetings and practices alone means that some form of 'mentoring' was taking place. Rodgers had to examine every single play that Farve took in games as well as what was taped and watched from practice.

Besides I keep hearing Driver say that he wants to be a packer for life. He certainly doesn't sound like someone who wants to play here. I think it 'MIGHT' be a good move at the right price, but other wrs are available and will be cut before the season begins

Who is Mike Florio and why do we care what he is making up?

RUMOR:

  • unverified report: a generally circulated story, report, or statement without facts to confirm its truth
  • idle speculation: general talk or opinions of uncertain reliability

We have the worst receiving corp in the league. I say we take what we can get. Doubt the rumors are true, but i would love him in miami. Having him just for one year would buy us time in the development of our weakest position on the team, WR.

I'm sure that almost no veteran really spends time teaching the guy who could take his job the next season anything.

guys just remember that every packer that might become available is going to be linked to us. driver wouldnt be bad, but i would rather develope our guys
