Don't blame tanny blame the new scheme

you bagging on me is a joke...just like all those posers in the draft forum trying to bag on me...but whatever...pile on fellas...he's had 2 subpar performances for you guys to use as ammo

so it's expected...we'll see how it goes the rest of the year...'

I'm not bagging on you yet just holding you to your ridiculous analogy. He will do what he does 2 or 3 good/great games, several average games, and several bad games. Hope I'm wrong!

I just don't see any marked improvement from Tannehill over the past few years. Some of the passes on Sunday were just awful. Must make throws that were inaccurate. I won't try and sugar coat him when he clearly needs MUCH improvement. We're 1-3 in the last 4 games going back to last season. Our win in week 1 wasn't in spite of him rather than because of him IMO. I just don't know how this franchise can't draft another QB this offseason.

it may turn out rediculous...it may not...his first 2 years pointed to some serious potential long term wise...this year we havent seen it...we'll see...i find it hard to believe i could be that far off though to where the guys long term prospects are average...but there's also parts of his game that need to show growth between the ears...and i expected with more reps they would...a new offense may set it back somewhat on that...although this is a qb friendly system so i'm puzzled

It is definitely in his head now, it has him holding on to ball to long, second guessing, and aiming his throws. The deep ball has him shell shock, his motion and delivery on a deep pass has become uncomfortable to watch. Even on the Hartline ball he was so erect and aiming the ball, it is a lot of the reason his deep pass travels flat and doesn't give a lot of time for a wr to adjust.

i would agree the deep ball doesnt look natural...it's gotten in his head...he needs to hit a few and call off the media wolves

I dunno fisi, I think it's more Tannehill than the scheme, but technically it's both.
Tannehill needs to get comfortable under Lazor's offense, especially in the pocket, but at the same time, Lazor needs to set up Tannehill to win.
There are things Tannehill can do consistently, and things he can't. We tend to ask him to do both every game.

I agree with you in that I'm very optimistic that things start clicking soon enough. Lazor was stressing practice in his presser last game. I think we're going to see the O get better by the week.

I just don't like how he throws it. When you compare him to other QBs and their success they drop their shoulder and launch the ball with a long arch allowing wr to run under it. Tannehill is upright and flat. Someone posted 3 Big Ben/Wallace highlights yesterday and you see Ben airing it out. Rodges is same way.

Hilarious thread...anyone who can't see that Tannehill is the problem is looking through aqua and orange tinted glasses. He lacks the accuracy and ball placement necessary to be an elite NFL QB. Case in point, Wallace's fumble in week one was a direct result of the terrible pass from Tannehill. if he didn't have to turn around back to catch the ball he would have been able to see the defender and brace himself for the hit.

I can see your already planting the seed of now its the schemes fault that Tannehill is a flat out average QB. Good one.

You can try and apply the same logic to me as you are to RT17. I don't think anyone is saying RT17 hasn't looked anything but AVG to this point. However the fact is this is his 2nd game in a new scheme. Not only is it his 2nd game in this scheme, it is also every other player playing in this offense 2nd game as well.

You can say it's an excuse. I prefer to see it as an actual fact.

Oh okay. New system. That's why he's inaccurate. Got it. Could've sworn it's because he's always been inaccurate.

The excuses you guys make for anyone who gets a paycheck from the Dolphins.

It may in fact be the other players not running to the correct spots, it may be 100$ RT17. I have no idea, nor do you.

You can can be someone that ignores the fact that this is a new system for everyone. That's your choice. The problem is, I know this isn't Madden, this is real football, and real players actually play this game. But the main point to me is, it's 2 games, relax, let's see what actually occurs. It's not like we have a better option to replace RT17. I love Moore, but he's not a starting QB.

And if he doesn't get better this season we can always say:
- it was just his first year in this scheme and we should give him another year. Then we fire the OC and start over again.

I'm not sure why it can't be all the things you listed in your previous post. It's a new system, they are all learning it together. They may come out the rest of the season and look really good in it. Why jump on the replace RT17 bandwagon after 2 games? lol Sorry it simply makes no sense. If they were in this system for 8 game or something it may be a rational thought. At this point it looks like a purely emotional reaction to ONE LOSS!

Come off the ledge already.

And anyone that can't acknowledge this is a new system for all of them, simply has an personal axe to grind.

By the way I disagree. Wallace fumbled because he didn't wrap the ball up. Not a perfect throw without a doubt by RT17, but an awful play on Wallace's part as well. The issue I had with RT17 on that play was he shouldn't have thrown it to Wallace to begin with. That is where RT17 went wrong. Then again, the ppl above RT17 may have wanted to make a concerted effort to get Wallace the ball. Who knows? That still doesn't excuse RT17 from making a poor choice in throwing him the ball in the 1st place.

Nope I was told that several times yesterday. Best I figure Bruce Arians made the comment last year how after 8 games Palmer figured the system out and that is why his play was way better. Well that was what was quoted anyway. I figure by week 10-12 of mediocrity the battle cry will be he needs 1 more season in the new system.

You can make a joke of it. Some QB's take longer than 8 games. I'm not sure why this is news to any of you.
