Don't count out Lamar Miller.

Walter Peyton used to train in the off season by sprinting up a hill full of boulder and sharp rocks, he'd come back down and do it again and again and again and again until watching him became exhausting. The day Miller does 1/1000 of this once I will take him seriously...Between now and then he's a joke!

Quite frankly - for the life of me - I do not understand why a mediocre back like Miller wouldn't want to study the greatest running back of all time and learn how he trained and train JUST LIKE HIM. What does he have to lose? Doesn't he want to be great?

90's Denver would be a good fit . . . then again they churned out a no name running back every other year . . . guys who did nothing before/after their time in Denver.

He's definitely a system back, and our offense fits him better than a lot of other offenses . . . probably the reason why we drafted him. One thing is for certain though, coming from the Eagles and having the likes of Shady McCoy as his primary running back . . . and now going after a more similar back in Moreno, I am not sure what that spells for Lamar Miller.
 
Question is can we count on this OL to Run Block? While the pass protection on paper seems to have improved. We added average to below average run blocking OL this offseason.

We will see just how good this OL coach really is... He has a big job infront of him.

Miller goes down as soon as someone touches him, he does not have the vision that you would love from a RB, and he is not as quick as I thought he was. Miller is not a back that can create runs, everything has to be wide open for him to get yards.

Well James's strength is pass blocking, not sure about Turner. Smith is supposed to be a great run blocker IF he earns a starting job.

It's obvious by this offseason that the Fins will be a pass first offense.. .buts its very imortant that we can run as well... cant neglect it.... Not being able to covert 3rd and short can insta kill a season.

I wrote Miller of halfway through last season. He is what he is. He will only get the yards the OL gives him, and he has never earned his own yards.
 
The dude has yet to improve on his weaknesses. I don't believe in him. Not saying he won't improve but he hasn't yet and that gives me enough reason not to want him as my starting RB.
 
He is the most explosive back on this team without question.

This video shows a back not afraid of contact, hitting holes hard, catching out of the back field and with a great vision for lanes. I honestly don't see any of the negative things in this thread in there at all.
Whats the difference from 2012 to 2013? How anyone cannot see how that Oline affected overall production across the board is beyond me.

2012? ah yes, when he played about 3 snaps in relief of Bush against tired teams lol

He cant hit holes, he cant break a tackle, he cant get tough yards and he keeps dropping passes.... but sure he is explosive. He is literally Clyde Gates the runningback

It wasn't only at the end of games when the other team was tired, we weren't ahead in enough games to be running the ball like that.
Look, I don't see him as a top 5 back in the league but he is definitely capable of being very close to top 10. He isn't Adrien Peterson, but he isn't a bottom tier RB either. No where near as bad as you are placing him.
Pure running ability alone, Moreno can't even compete with him.
