dont drink the matt moore kool aid

I'd much rather have a QB who throws an interception from time to time because he's throwing it up for grabs downfield than a QB who throws as many or more picks by throwing them straight to the defender and doesn't consistently make any kind of downfield plays.

Me to man, me too. I'm on the start Moore bandwagon for the time being, but I still have to wait and digest this with 3 more preseason games. Hopefully Moore gets some play with the 1st unit.

I'm just so sick of Chad Henne.

please dont do it, please dont, he threw a td against a 2nd and 3rd string
defense

ISNT that what he is supposed to do? all our backups before threw pics and no td's.

why the hate for this guy? he has some awsome skills and is having a GREAT camp!! so far he has been proving that the 2010 injury season was a fluke and he is more the 2009 playmaker. isnt that good? dont you want that?

its good for us fans! for the team! if he is better than henne [and i expect he is if tony wanstedt will play and develope him], why is that a bad thing? i just dont get all the downing of this kid. its goofy!!

I think this QB position needs to be open. That second pick that Henne threw is just unacceptable. I know its just preseason, but he's been doing that same crap for 2 years now, and he doesn't balance it out by doing anything exceptionally positive.

I am not drinking the kool aid. I understand that this is the first preseason game and nothing should be used as indications of what is to come.

Henne lost his job before he got injured last year, so you can't blame it on injuries.

edit - Darnit, I feel stupid, I thought you were talking about Henne, but I just re-read your post.

I am trying not to over-analyze but it's been a long offseason, kind of hard to hold back. Next week I think I'll be able to take things in moderation a little better.

moore looked ok on the passes he could actually throw but id still take henne
over moore

DOLPHIN CHAMPS:

WHY? and be detailed. you have watched about 20 minutes of the guy so how have you made a decison like that so fast?

why is this guy so hated? expecially when there is nobody special in front of him, no beloved player like a marino or elway. its like fans are going to cry and fall apart if moore ends up being better than henne. i just dont get it.

I'd take Henne over Moore any day

BOB:

ok, you to. like DOLPHIN CHAMPS, in DETAIL, tell us why you would "take henne over moore ANY day". WHY?

pretty big decision after seeing only 20 minutes of a guy.

Let's have them compete. What has Henne done NOT to have any competition? Moore had a great season two years ago.

I like the mobility and touch.

It does matter who he is competing against. However, the mobility and touch translates no matter who he is playing against.

Let them compete.

Says you!! Henne will have Moore starting before you can say ... "what's football & reality have to do with MY opinions!!"

Me?? ... think I'll wait for a REAL QB!! ... and just laugh, so I don't cry!!

Wow, another beautiful throw from Moore. I've been watching this guy lead drives, and while I know he's not facing good competition, he's finding the open guy and getting the ball to them every time. And the throwing lanes he's finding are tight, second string or not, and Henne just doesn't fit the ball in to those spots.

Right now I take Moore over Henne, he is simply more consistent...we need open competition until somebody takes the job.

It was a touch overthrown but whoever the receiver was (I couldn't tell) really made a terrible play on the ball. He was between the defender and the ball and that ball never should have gotten to the defender.
Are you not the same person that was saying Henne was responsible for his first int? It is amazing how your outlook changes with a different qb...

Moore has looked pretty good so far, Im not going out and saying throw him over Henne, but what I am going to say is they should have an open QB competition between the two. Henne showed some nice things, looked a bit more mobile, nice at evading pressure, but he still making bad decisions. Open QB competition, if Henne wins than he wins... If he doesn't than Moore should start
