dont really win if we win against the browns

I agree...but probably for different reasons. I think Sparano and Co. stuck with Henne to have their "built in execuse." I don't think Ross will fire these morons, regardless of record. They will just tell him, "at the end of the day, we just couldn't win with Henne. We need to get a new 2nd rounder..." And Ross will buy it and let them continue on their merry way of destroying our team...

Then it's hopeless. You best leave at once.

True.. The TO ratio was +17.. So WTH happened to that. In 2009 we were -8, in 2010 we were -12, and this year we already -2.

I think the big factor for that season was the TO ratio which was out of this world, yes the WC had a big part of it but a TO ratio like we had will get you inthe playoffs wildcat or not IMO...

And I think we ONLY picked up 2 players from Dallas.

We also had some talent that many have not appreciated...Will Allen and Goodman look pretty good compared to what we have now...a bunch of potential, but nothing of real production...Pennington was a great game manager that actually lasted a full season...Starks was a great pickup, Holiday played great that year. Bell was playing better. We had an OL that we though was crap...but was 10x as good as the scrubs we have now...Ricky and Ronnie were doing well...the TE's were showing up consistently...of course we still had Ginn...but that didn't hold us back too much...

We're a much better team than Cleveland and should easily beat them. If after that we beat San Diego and Phillip Rivers we're a good team and we've officially turned it around. Why not root for that. I'm certain that would make you feel much better. We're only two games into the season for Gods' sake. A great move by the F.O. would be to sit Colombo down and put Carey back at RT. There's no reason why we can't still be a Playoff team.

Yeah... Ive seen enough from him that im completely done. In his 4 years here, Tony has not learned once from any of his mistakes. He just makes the same ones over and over and over again. In my mind, there is nothing that he can do or come up with that will benefit this team. The absolute only reason why he was successful when he got here was because of the wildcrap. He caught everyone off gaurd with it and thats the only reason we were able to win so many games. And now that he isnt fooling anyone and cant hide behind the wildcrap any longer, he is exposed for being a horrible coach. It is what he is. The only claim to fame he will ever have is an offensive formation that worked for 12 games.

And let's not forget, Chad Pennington finished 2nd in MVP voting that season. It is absolutely sickening that the best QB we've had since Marino was picked up a few weeks before the season started. We lucked out there because the Jets would have won the division if they kept him.

Unlike the jest who lost 6 out of 7 in 09, we can't count on teams taking a knee to get into the playoffs.

So win = win. (period)

I think people are kidding themselves big time if they think Sparano will get fired if we lose to Cleveland. I've been staying out of these discussions but think they are silly. I think TS is a bad coach but he will not be fired after week 3, regardless of the outcome. I'd bet everything I have on this.
The odds are he wouldnt be fired after week 3 if we lost, only because we have a game the following week than is our bye, so from a logical point of view, you would think that we would wait one week, let our new interim coach get a full week off to learn everything the best he can, then get a fresh start 2 weeks later vs the jets.

However, considering that we basically quit last season in our final 3 games vs the bills, lions, and pats, showing really no life, especially the last game vs the pats, who played scrubs the whole 2nd half, and now it seems like we have started off the same way we left off at the end of the 2010 season, i would not be surprised if he was fired if we lose this week.

Now if we were to lose a game like 27-24 last second fg, a loss is still a loss, its unacceptable, and something must be done. However if its that close, then maybe ross just waits till after the charger game to see and make a decision.

However , if we were to lose like 34-3, show no fire like the first 2 weeks, look like the same deadbeat team we have looked like the last 5 games going back to last year, i think a change must be done right after the game despite a bye week looming.

That will have shown that the players have officially quit on sparano and the team needs a change asap. You dont just lose to the browns in that type of way.

That being said, i fully expect us to win this week ( ya i know to some people im a homer and its unacceptable that i think we will win) and maybe, just maybe, we can get something going. its do or die.

If in season 4, your looking for a win against the Browns to keep this clown, there is a huge problem.

the way fans on this board talk its as if they want the players to just lay down and lose.

Yup! I get the impression that we'd get into a 6 game winning streak and get people starting threads about ''FML we'stuck with these clowns for another season''...

I don't root for Miami to lose. Even tho rooting really does nothing unless your in the stadium making noise.

Tony isn't fat.

Fine, Blind Tony.

It doesn't matter if we win or lose as far as Luck is concerned cause we're not worse than the Chiefs or Seahawks, both teams would not pass up Luck. So yeah I wanna win. But Sparano needs to be gone regardless unless he pulls a playoff run out of his ***, which has a slim to none chance of happening.

No matter how we feel about TS never, never want the team to lose. Can't do it. If we win vs. Browns it can bring the momentum we need. TS was almost rid of this past season. IMHO he is a lame duck anyway with numbered days. Cheer for a win. The big picture will take care of itself if Ross grows a pair and makes the right decisions.
