Don't worry about the offensive line

I think we'll worry until we see some results. At least I will. We've heard Houck can perform miracles. Let's just hope he has a few left in him. I'm cautiously optimistic ...

ditto....:D

Yeah the O line will be better

The o line will be much improved, just dont think we will go from bieng the worst in the league, ton haveing a Broncos calibur o line.

Exactly, remember we were pretty pissed with Mckinney for getting pushed into the backfield last year, that's not coaching, that's player strength, technique and ability..Hadnot got on that same line, and bulldozer his guy, which started the OL playing on the right track. The fact that they started off with whitney at RG cause me concern as he wasn't better than Yates, who went undrafted and played more the year before. Our coaches choices as to where players went and who starts was suspect to me last year. It definitely wasn't the best player starts mentality, which it should have been when putting together a brand new OL. If we had started St. Clair at center, Hadnot at RG, and let Carey play and finish at RT, I think our OL what have been that much better sooner in the year.

I am more interested in the o-line play than the QB battle because if the o-line stinks it won't matter who the QB or RB is for that matter.

Hope you're right!

I sure hope so :D

Last year, before the season, Pro Football Weekly listed San Diego as the 32nd best O-line . . . San Diego managed to finish 6th in rushing yards, and LT (who was not completely healthy all year) managed to get over 1300 yards and 17 TDs . . .

Houck can perform similar miracles here . . .

Maybe next year but I doubt your Ol is gonna be anything special this year.

Wise did something right when Ricky earned the rushing title. Last year was just a charlie foxtrot.

Wany just handed the ball off to Ricky a record number of times. IMO, the single best year ever by a running back. The O-line still stunk, but a least our center (Ruddy) could make a call.

I think the O-line will do better this season well s*** how could it do much worse than last years hahah

I wonder why Colts fans were my favorite guys to hang out with even when we played them twice a year in our own division...

No that's scheme. You don't leave your center on an island to block a DT. That's just asking for trouble. There are only a "few" centers in the entire league who can take on a DT one on one and be successful at it. However you'll notice they are also the most expensive centers in the league. If you can dig up a center who can take on a DT and make the line calls he's there for life. McKinney was a pretty good center coming out of college. He completely regressed along with the rest of the line.

Hadnot seem to handle the DT's pretty well...He was a center coming out of college also..Hmmm

Yes, there have been wrong predictions but there have also been right ones.

SD didn't have a new head coach that brought in a new system. They also had the best (IMO) rb in the league. They also had a qb who just hit his peak. You have a has been qb who has to get familiar w/ his new team and a qb who hasn't hit his peak in over 4 yrs. who will have to learn a new system again.

Houck inherited DMac who SD got rid of last year. It would be interesting to see if he can turn Dmac's career around. If not, you are depending on Carey who hardly has any experience. He's not the 2nd coming of Gallery.
