If Drew doesn't get signed to a long term deal, I say we go for him next year. He's young and would fit into Linehan's system. That way next draft we can spend our picks on an OL and WR. I think we would definately have the cap room to sign him, assuming we are going to trade JT next year. What do you guys/gals think?

Let's wait until next year to worry about it. I only care about this year right now.

Good idea, though I'ld like to think Feeley will prove to be a good starter. However, if he's not and Brees is let go after this season (let's face it, either him or Rivers goes... it won't be Rivers) then I think we should take a shot at him. On the same token, he has only one solid year under his belt, there is no ground to say he woudl be good for us, many QB's have had a solid season and then gone down the drain...

At least we know he can perform in this league in the right system with few mistakes. That's all i'm looking for is a QB who makes good decisions. I think Drew proved that last year.

Even the sun shines in a dogs @$$ once in a while, lets see him do it two years in a row first!

hopefully our Dog can learn new tricks this year.

As of right now just watching AJ, I think most folks in dolphin land would take Brees over AJ.

He doesn't have a very strong arm, remember that was a big deal when we got Boston. Brees couldn't throw far enough

How about we worry about next year, NEXT YEAR!! Let's actually play this upcoming season, just for kicks, to see how we do and how we may need to plan for the future.

I'm not a big AJ fan, but we are what we are this year, I'll worry about next year in Jan.

Aj will get a chance to prove a lot of people wrong, I'm willing to give him that chance. Do I think he can do it? I think Gus will beat him out. But I hope AJ proves me wrong.

As far as arm strength, he made the plays last year. He's also a lot more mobile and accurate on the run than AJ. The most important thing for me is protecting the ball, he had 27 T.D's, 7 interceptions. I'd take that, and i'm sure he's going to continue this year. Heck, I think John Kitna could do well here. Sad to say, but I don't think our QB's put chills down defensive coordinators spines. Can you imagine if Coordinators had to worry about our QB, RB (hopefully this year), and receivers. With Ronnie in the backfield defenses will be keying to stop him, making AJ throw. AJ's going to get his chance for sure this year. What i'm tired of is the interceptions for touchdowns. Someone tell AJ it's ok to throw the ball away.

I think with improved line play and a quality back Feeley can improve alot this year, remember how terrible Brees was even with LT, then the line improved and Gates stepped up and he looks All-Pro all of a sudden

Now you did it! You have me sticking up for AJ!

Brees played under one of the better offensive lines last year. AJ the worst along with the Giants.

The past two years Brees played under a O-line that made the Fins line of 2005 look good!

Exactly, Charger fan was ready to run Brees out of town before last year. You're right, improve the O-Line and get him a couple of receivers to go with LT and bingo, they're 12-4...

Like i've been saying, get Feeley a productive 3rd receiver to go with Chambers, Booker, and McMichael and I think Feeley will then at the very least have no excuses as long as the offensive line does improve like we believe it should. Then we can talk about change if it's necessary!
