Drew Brees

If Brees plays like he did last year, then there is no why that the Chargers should let him go. Rivers will more then likely be the QB on the trading block.

Agreed. If Brees is a proven commodity the Chargers won't think twice about keeping him, and shuffling off Rivers somewhere else. They'll get pretty much what they want too im thinking.

Just what I was thinking. I understand going out on a limb, but Gibbs obviously hates him. When a you bring in Brunell, he doesn't work out, so then draft a QB with a 1st rounder you traded up for there is no realistic chance for Ramsey to have sucess or a chance.

I don't know that Campbell trade manuever reeks of Snyder to me, trading a ton to get a prospect doesnt seem like Gibbs style. Im not sure what Gibbs has against Ramsey. For a young Qb I thought he played good under Spurrier and Gibbs. Yea he wasnt destroying the league, but he was pretty good and he does have a killer arm. I dont see why they picked up Brunnell (although they saved us from having that salary cap disaster on our hands), Ramsey isn't great but hes solid and he's the best Qb they have on their roster going into the season. The Skins defense held them in a lot of games, if they had decent play from their Qb they would have won a lot more games. Gibbs was stupid for sticking with Brunnel, its obvious to even the lamest fan that he's done for.

Personally I think if the right system or circumstance in place almost any QB can succeed. Steve Young sucked in Tampa before he was in San Fran where he flourished. That is unless his name is Jay Fiedler.:roflmao:

Personally I think that Brees is going to have another good year.

Rivers is not tradeable. At least not for a couple more years, yes it makes sense to trade the unproven but it makes more sense to keep the youth and not take a huge cap hit.

Patrick Ramsey has looked very good in camps, so far, and I think he may have a Drew Brees like year this season, but it's too hard to predict breakout players. I don't think Brees will be the future QB of the Phins, but it isn't out of the question. The thing that Feeley has working against him is that most coaches wanna bring in "there own guy," when there is an unproven player at a position, even when it comes to free agency/trades. Look at the Cardinals who would rather use a 2nd rd pick on an unproven player in Arrington, than trade a 3rd for a proven player in Henry. I don't know who the Qb of the future is for the team, but I don't think he's on the roster right now.

imo i think we have a 70% chance at getting brees because it will cost them more to get rid of rivers so imo they will ship brees to the highest bidder and it will be the finnsssssssss

No way man, ppl need to get this out of the box idea that we will get Brees out of their head, please, its to the point that I dont want him, I would rather just draft a QB next year.

I think Brees has one year wonder labeled all over him. Antonio Gates made his season last year, and kept his job.
I would be very surprised if he duplicated his numbers from last year.
