He was pissed at the players performance, not the play selection...game planning had NOTHING to do with why he was pissed...besides, why should he...all you do in the last preseason game is tune your first teamers (we surely failed there) and look a the bubble guys...that's it...no game planning, no studying of the opposing teams tendencies..none of that stuff...

It appears the leniency for a Bills fan is "zero tolerance" on this board compared to other posters.

The part you are missing, is that in the competitive world of the NFL if a coach starts throwing games he will not be the coach when he is able to get the player he is losing to obtain. His replacement will get to coach that player. You can not lose on purpose and expect to be around very long.

saban should not gameplan we play atlanta again this year and it would not be wise to show him our offensive and defensive schemes that we will use against them just to look good in pre season

Yeah I suppose, I am just stirring it up, I just woke up and I am groggy and grouchy!
 
I don't believe that NFL coaches "throw" games on purpose. I do know for a fact that when a team is not competitive and the coaching staff knows it they can use the games of a regular season to develop players that may contribute to the future of the team rather than playing older players that are on their last legs. I don't think that Saban has or should determine that is the case yet this year. But if we get to the middle of the season with a similar record to last year, I wouldn't be surprised to see guys like Crowder and Roth and others get more playing time while guys like Traylor and Carter who are better players right now sit out. Just my opinion.
