Dwayne Bowe to Miami?

Really?? You are going to list 8 WRs to prove your that we don't need to use a high draft pick on a WR?? It's about percentages, 8 that are decent late round picks or undrafted out of what 2 or 3 hundred that tried out for NFL teams and are now flipping burgers some where in hometown USA !!!! Sorry but I don't get excited about those odds. Don't get me wrong I am not upset that we didn't use a high pick this year, we had too many other needs, but we REALLY need to use one next year, or spend the money in free agency to get Tannehill the weapons he needs, IMO.

Agreed. Even if datruth were to continue to list 20 more low investment WRs that worked out, the odds would still be miniscule compared to the volume of camp fodder and flameouts.

i'd be ok with $4 mil per year on hartline provided that we didn't get ourself in some stupid guaranteed money stuff...i wouldn't pony up double digit guaranteed money in a hartline long term contract...i think his value is more in line with a #3 wr in free agency...

Oh there's no way Hartline is in line for double digit guaranteed money. I doubt his agent have even thought of asking for that, and that's saying something, lol.

Marques Colston - 7th round
Miles Austin - Undrafted
Davone Bess - Undrafted
Wes Welker - Undrafted
Victor Cruz - Undrafted
Antonio Brown - 6th round
Stevie Johnson - 7th round
Pierre Garcon - 6th round

There are a lot more but it's not as slim as you might think.

Dwayne Bowe > your entire list

From the article: "Plenty of players want to play in Miami."

Ssshhhhhh, don't tell Ryan Clark!

35 catches and only 1 TD do not merit big guaranteed dollars.

Crazy thought: Draft our own WR and pay him 1/10th of what Bowe wants.

is that all he had...35 catches...good grief...i think i'm more in the $3 mil per range now...the problem i see here is now in this o he's gonna probably catch 55-60 balls and then he's gonna think he should get paid $6 mil per and i'm sorry but brian hartline is not that type of wr...the o is gonna help him that and there's no go to guy anymore at the position but i mean the kids got what 5 tds for his career and thats been being the guy most forgotten about in this wr core by the opposition...

we better watch this damn contract...give ourselves an out...

i don't know if that's kc home cooking or what but i'd have to disagree with that...

There's only one receiver on that particular list I would take for certain over Bowe (Miles Austin), though admittedly there are two more (Victor Cruz, Antonio Brown) that I'd take above him if they can sustain the kind of success they've shown already.

The "whys" and "how comes" are irrelevant. According to Clark, no one wants to play here. According to this article, everyone wants to play here.

Based off stats alone, Bowe is the better receiver. He's also a year younger and has had hot garbage throwing him the ball. I like Austin, just not as much as Bowe.
