Dwayne Bowe to Miami?

If they're getting tired of Matt Cassel and ready to hit the reset button on the QB position, unless as I said Ricky Stanzi suddenly ends up the guy, then that's all the more reason for them to dump Dwayne Bowe the same ay Miami dumped Brandon Marshall. You're going to pay a guy $10 million a year for a few years to basically go through the motions while you figure out the QB position? I don't think so. I wouldn't.

i see what you're saying...but i also think the kc ownership and front office wants to keep butts in the seats and resigning bowe long term and drafting a legit qb prospect like any of those you named would go a long long way towards that imo...

they could let him walk...i just don't think it will happen

so ck you think that if kc went up to bowe right now and offered him 5 years and $50 mil that he would pass??? heck i think they might be able to pull him at 5 years and $40-45 mil even if they put enough guaranteed money in the pot...

i don't know what their cap situation is but i bet losing cassells god awful contract is gonna free up a ton of money after this year and i think although i haven't looked to see what their roster contract situation with their keeper players is that bowe is priority numero uno...wouldn't surprise me if they've had some discussions and asked him to be patient for the time being thus the tag

Right now if they approached him with that kind of offer I think he'd take it without even letting them finish explaining.

But in a year? Healthy? AFTER they've dumped Matt Cassel? With a potential unrestricted free agency bid imminent? I think he'd hesitate.

KC is a football town. There are no fair weather fans here. Arrowhead is filled to capacity with or without Dwayne Bowe.

Of course, whether he stays or goes at the end of the year is partially dependant on how well Baldwin develops this year. He showed flashes of greatness last year. If he's a realistic replacement as an alpha receiver, then you let Bowe walk (straight to South Beach I hope).

makes no sense to let bowe walk cause baldwin is there...

Please feel free to back up that statement with... Anything at all.

Baldwin is a 1[SUP]st[/SUP] round pick with loads of potential. If he steps up, the way most people think he will, and performs on at least the same level as Bowe, why wouldn’t it make sense to let Bowe walk? Baldwin is younger and cheaper than Bowe at this point in their careers. And he’s still under contract for a couple more years. Does it make more sense to let him walk with NOONE to replace him? Much like we did with Marshall? Let me guess, you approve of that move. Not this one though?

It makes PERFECT sense to let Bowe walk cause Baldwin is there...

how bout you keep them both...i mean you drafted em both...spent first round picks on them both...why wouldn't kc want to reap the benefits on having both of them in their prime years together...that said baldwin is not an eagle scout he could go off the deep end any time i'd be trying to keep bowe if i was kc...baldwin hasn't shown he's at that level yet anyways...baldwins on a rookie deal they can afford him and bowe no problem

why get rid of good damn football players in their prime...yeah they are gonna likely have to overpay somewhat but they're getting a top 15 wr for the long haul...makes sense to me

Take him guys. We don't want him.

I think things will get interesting next off season between Miami and Bowe.

Remember that Jeff Ireland is very desperate to make Ryan Tannehill successful. He's not going to go down for having it look like he grabbed the wrong quarterback only to be vindicated much too late. He will try his best to surround Tannehill with weapons in 2013, and I'm not talking about 6th and 7th rounders.

One can only hope.

Bowe, Ocho, Bess, Hartline

Not a bad top 4.

Bess might very well be lucky to make the team. He's pretty good, but he's slow and short. He's just not the threat that you want in the slot. A slot WR was mentioned on this site- small white guy with serious wheels and quickness, looks kind of like Wes Welker. Having watched some tape of him, I think that he's a player to watch- drafted in the 4th rd iirc. He's short, fast and quick, which works in the slot and as a threat. Bess is, of the three, short and quick but seriously lacks wheels. He doesn't make those around him better, he can be covered 1 on 1. He's just not a threat in the slot.

probably talking about ryan swope...i'm sure sherman will bang the table for him next year...he doesn't strike me as the most quick twitch or explosive but i like him...

Actually Devon Wylie, I remembered his name. 4th rd pick by KC, will actually be a threat in the slot imo as opposed to Bess. I like Joe Adams quite a bit, but this Wylie has the look to him- he just reminds me of a faster Wes Welker- kind of looks like him as well.
