For some people, everyone we let go has upside. Everyone we pick up is a dud.

Then again, in this particular case, I do agree he was a player with upside. The team raved about him and picked him up early enough. It's just weird they're passing him up for what is, at the moment, a lesser quality player.

My point is, if Edds is not the type of player you wait to recover from an injury and develop I dont know what young guy is. He is talented and a blue collar workhorse.

Belichick is going to be picking Edds' brain for every little thing he knows about Mike Nolan's defense. Nolan seems to be a smart coach, so I REALLY hope he changes things up as much as time will allow.

True, but Yeatman is a rookie who has only had access to the Pats' playbook for about a month and a half. Edds has had our playbook for well over a year now.

Agreed, for me personally i am not even concerned about the fact Edds will be data dumping, or even made that the Pats claimed him period.I am genuinely upset that we let him go period.
