Someone come with a stat about this..I would imagine it is pretty hard to draft a TE that early and cut him this quick. I would imagine TE isn't a position many besides Jeffrey miss on that bad
 
Joe Philbin's comments at last practice re Egnew:

“Well, you know, he missed a little bit of time, but he’s come back," Philbin said. "He got a limited amount of playing time the other night. He’s had a good week of practice. So we’ll take a look at him again in the game on Saturday and see how well he performs."

Another reason you shouldn't get overly excited about what he says, especially about Daniel Thomas who I think will get cut as well.

not sure if my pm brought this about or not but it speaks to your integrity...cause you definitely got after me about this guy...i'll end up eating crow eventually...can't have as many lines as i've got in the water and not...and maybe on will davis even

but it won't be the qb suckers

Couldn't get healthy. I think he had less than 10 practices the entire training camp and he never played in a preseason game.
 
maybe they wanted to cut him before he learned our offense too well and could give it to the PATS jests or Jills

First thought that popped into my brain right there. Hoskins is getting healthy again. I think he will get a good long look if he is healthy enough to play.

I don't hate the guy and I got nothing against him. Wish him well. But he was a bad draft pick and this was overdue. You can't say the team didn't give him a fair shot.
