Egnew

Egnew caught 90 passes his junior season in college and 50 approx his junior year with a new coach and QB in college. He was a glorfied big wide reciever at that point in his college career where most TE's are blockers who catch a few passes so for Egnew to reinvent himself last year as a blocker and save his career was fairly interesting. The Lazor offense should have benefited him but the downside reported on Egnew is that he cannot seperate in the passing game in the NFL which appears to be leading to his downfall

This guy is a "Philbin measuring stick"...if this guy stays...he has to go. He no longer will be pressured by Ireland to keep him...it will be all on him.

I'd just go with Clay, Sims, Brackett and Miller. Stick Lynch on the P.S. Of course - I'd consider grabbing up Keller after game 1 if he's available.

Interesting whether Michael Egnew gets significant playing time tonight. With Clay out and Sims lighting it up at Training Camp, this is an opportunity to see what Egnew, Arthur Lynch and Brackett can do. I expect Lynch is the best blocker of the 3, but there have not been many mentions of great catching in practice. Time is probably running out for Egnew. He needs to show something tonight.
