EJ Manuel every throw week 1

The Bears were the #2 scoring team last season but their defense which doesn't look like it improved was the 3rd worst(#30) giving up 29.9 points/game and that oddly enough also factors in 1 OT where they also lost to MN 23-20. So scoring nearly 7pts less than on average their D relinquished if anything creates a false sense of reality on the basis of ekeing out a 3 pt OT win. If you count the int that was returned to the 7 and then converted to 6pts on a short Manual throw and another int that resulted in a FG, the net effect of the "Bad Cutler" that day was giving his team a net +10 offensive points. That ain't gonna win against anyone unless maybe you've got the 85 Bears version of the D on the field. OTOH, from a degree of difficulty we beat a team most pundits predicted would make or win the SB and made a future yellow jacket QB look pedestrian despite having his most lethal weapon back. We beat them by 13, but it could have been by 23 or more if not for 2 drops of perfect passes, and maybe/maybe not a poor QB pass.

That's not to say Bills fans that we shouldn't be concerned about your D and ending up on top, but seriously, if you're basing your optimism against one team with the 30th best D last season and negative scoring differential that went 8-8 even with all those weapons in a weak division where only 2 teams won 8 games, then more power to ya (but don't bogart that doobie)!
