Enough about Luck!

That's the point. We're 4 games into the season and you're already prepared to find a way to give some great college player the keys to the franchise. It's the beginning of October.......but if to look here you would think the draft is tomorrow.

Who said the only other alternative is to speak of how "wonderful" we are doing? So instead lets only talk about some CHANCE we have at MAYBE getting a top pick quarterback who just MIGHT take our team to the next level several years from now......

Anyone see that ESPN bit on that 6th grader Demias Jimerson that they put the Madre Hill rule on because he scores too much? We should start sucking for that kid too because he is a sure fire for the Heisman.

Suck for Jimerson 2021!!!
 
barring andrew lucks throwing shoulder falling off i'm taking him #1 no matter what

it would be like sam bradfords last college season.. didnt play most of the season but STILL went number one overall... LUCK WILL BE THE NUMBER ONE OVERALL PICK...... unless its a very serious career ending injury

I dont get your point, people are talking about Luck now because it directly correlates with whats going on in October.

Its week 4 and we already have 4 losses, everyone already knows theres no shot in hell that we compete in our division for the rest of the season

people in here will be talking about luck for the rest of the season because it directly correlates with the losses we will be receiving week in week out

Yeah, I'm much more captivated by the possibility of drafting a franchise QB than I am with anything involving the actual games that the Dolphins play for the rest of the season.... Primarily because the only ****ing thing left to root for is the possibility of drafting Luck.
 
the dolphins have to win a game 1st if they want the luck talk to slow down..
 
We have a legit chance at drafting luck. Look at our remaining games, what teams are we gonna beat?? Maybe kc and Denver. Who else??
 
i have no idea what kind of pro andrew luck will be. i remember the jake locker talk. how he would have been the number one pick overall had he come out in 2010. then he returns to school and comes out this year, and he has accuracy issues, etc. cam newton goes number one and blaine gabbert was considered a better pro prospect than jake locker. the point being, my hope is that there is a player who we perceive is a franchise quarterback available whenever we end up picking, or make a trade to get him if necessary.
 
Let's play a new game. What happens if we have the chance to get him and pass for someone else, which this organization has been know to do numerous times.

Then what? Do we march to the stadium and burn it down?
 
Some people are missing the point with Luck. Sure he could be a failure, but to compare him to Locker (who still might be the best Qb in this yrs class) is insane. They are two different style QBs. Locker was 'Tebow West', as one draftnik described him. His style is completely different. Luck is running a pro style offense, with very few NFL kids on the roster and hes winning in a major conference. Hes a stanford kid so obviously hes got a good head on his shoulders, and he has played for an NFL coach (Harbaughs doing OK, Id say). This kid is or ticket, and the fact that some of you people wouldnt want this team to do anything in its power to be a contender for the next 10 years, is mindboggling. Its also the same people who b*tch and moan about Jake Long being taken and not Matt Ryan. I watched Ryan play as hes from my area, he could hold Lucks jock strap.
 
Sorry but this is not a valid arguement.. Any player could suck in the NFL, does that mean you dont draft them? As I have said in many posts like yours, with that logic, why bother even having a draft at all??? Also, if we have a chance to take a franchise QB, and we dont, and we choose some other crap OL or DL, Im done with this team. We've all suffered enough. Im always hearing stories about people who used to be Dolphins fans and the franchise pushed them away through their suckage.. Steve Young had a nice and true quote when he said, (paraphrasing), "No matter what happens the Dolphins just cant get it right". Meaning year after year, regime after regime, players after players, for some reason the Dolphins cant get it right. We all know what Hootie means.

Although in retrospect with my luck, I would leave and them Miami would end up winning the superbowl that year.. Damn addictions!
