Enough with the cut Chad threads. MATURE FANS ONLY MAY ENTER!!! NO YOUNGLINGS

I was trying to keep an open mind about Johnson, but the guy is a head case. If we keep him, he will disappoint us more often than not.
It was only one game, but the concern was just raised up a few more notches.

Bj cunningham, davone bess, wallace, hartline, egnew, fasano, pruit, nanee, we dont need chad johnson, he is not the chad johnson u knew in cinci. Hes over the hill, done. Bj cunningham showed some great hands tonight, + hes cheaper and more hungry and not a locker room cancer. Chad johnson is gettin cut whether you or any cj fanboy like it or not.

I agree, but you left out Fuller, who would have caught that slant no problem with his 6' 4 frame.

The youngins need to play. We aint going super bowl.

They're not cutting the best WR on the roster over a 3rd down drop and some F-bombs. I'll take it a bit further and say Philbin's threat of "maybe" when asked if he would was probably hollow.

Chad can be cut with no regret if he doesn't catch the ball. There will be some roster cuts and we can find another veteran from another team that runs the WCO.

I agree. We are not a playoff team. The best we can hope for is some major development of our young players. I am afraid we will have trouble "learning how to win" coming out of the gate. This team's roster still has a lot of holes.

Well, playoffs can be had with this schedule IMO and Jets are downgraded and im sorry, buffalo is overhyped as usual. If Tannehill is the man and continues his starter status, I see we could do some damage.

Keep in mind here that Clay and Fasano will be huge part of this offense. If you look around the league, most teams not showing anything so I think people really need to keep it in perspective.

We need to finish drives and play better D. Its that simple. I am not worried about the D. They will get it together alot sooner than last year IMO. They are not out of shape and were just playing not to get hurt. I remember last years first game vs. atlanta, the D line was just taking on their guy and flowing with the block.

Need to find a guy who makes game altering plays in the positive direction. I am talking about momentum swingers, unexpected RAC, converting long third downs, etc. We brought Marshall in to be that guy and it didn't pan out. Ocho at his career peak could give you some of that, but he is no longer there. Now, we need to see a little more football, but if the trend is game-altering plays in the negative direction, like that drive-killer last night, he's got to go. And I love the guy.

If we get off to a good start (3-3) then the playoffs could be a possibility. I just have this idea that we will struggle yet again to start the season.
Fasano and Clay will be huge, so will Reggie Bush.
All that said, I think this will be a development year.

I've come to the conclusion that we should cut Chad (I'm done with diva WR's who drop the football), cut Hartline, and we need to try to move Bess (not a good fit in this offense). Oh and bye-bye Garrard.

We should carry these 6 WR's:

1. Naanee
2. Wallace
3. Pruitt
4. Gates
5. Matthews
6. Moore or Cunningham or Fuller

And start Tannehill, please.

I disagree. Bess is money and we will need him to move the chains. With some creative play calling his speed and quickness is very good close to the LOS. Hartline is a keeper for now assuming he gets over his injuries. The guy made some big plays for us last year. He is not a #1, but a very good #2-3.
Chad Johnson is running on thin ice IMHO. He rubs the public and staff the wrong way and then in crucial 3rd down situations, he drops an easy pass. Just inexcusable. If that continues, I will hold the door open for him.
With the emergence of RT, Garrard is looking more expendable. Right now I would bet that he is cut. I am very happy with the QB group of Moore, RT, and Devlin. Speaking of Devlin, after a shaky start, he started to sling the ball pretty good. He needs more playing time.

1. Wallace (clearly our top receiver IMHO)
2. Hartline
3. Bess
4. Naanee
5. Pruitt
6. Matthews, Cunningham, Moore, Fuller, Hogan

no mas...Johnson

Ok well we've seen many threads saying omg cut Chad yada yada. Lets be real here and add the pros and cons of a Chad J. then come to a conclusion. But not until after preseason week 3. Feel free to add to list of pros and cons if I miss some or you pick up on any others in upcoming games.

Pros
Great work ethic to teach the roster full of young W.R
Doesn't get arrested or in trouble off the field.
Loosness of locker room when guys are around him making them play better
Fast speed somewhat
Veteran with a lot of respect to teach guys what to do on field
Good with bonding with teamates

Cons
Can't shut his mouth/to much social media
Drops passes/Leaves feet to catch balls
Breaks off routes early thinking he will be more open forcing timing to be thrown off
Very skinny and scared when he hears footsteps
Sometimes jokes around at wrong times
Always does his little bird screetch when he wants the ball "Kooo Koooo"
Eats McDonalds every morning causing his brain to deteriate and act sluggish
Swears to much to try to be funny

Overall he needs to shut his mouth, (NO MORE MEDIA BS, LIKE HE SAID HIMSELF) until he shows for it on field.

I do not want him cut until we see him after week 3 of preseason, because if he goes out next week or week 3 and catches 13 passes for 150 yards and 2 T.D's the OMG CHAD HAS CHANGED AND WE NEEDDDD TO SIGN THIS GUY ASAP threads will start to emerge from all of your noodles.:hclap:

And Chad your getting tweeted this link by all of us phin fans with twitter so you can chime in too!:lol2::lol:

He is a punk, and the first two cons are enough reason to cut him. They shouldnt have sign him in the first place. He's very disrespectful and cant catch the damn ball anymore. I hated this signing from the start, hes like a crappier version of our last years B. marshall. GARBAGE

Losing team attracts loser fans. Weak team attracts weak fans. Proof all over this thread and board. You people cry and whine way too much. Man up bitches!!

Go tell your boy to man up and catch an easy 3rd down pass!

I don't see any evidence that he IS the best receiver on the team. I agree with the idea that if he earns the spot he deserves it but I don't accept the idea that he IS the best receiver based on either raw speed or what he did in the past.

If he doesn't perform in games he should be gone because performance is the only reason management should even considering putting up with the rest of the package.

No... every team attracts fair-weather fans. The fair-weather fans on troubled teams make a lot of noise. Winning teams have the same fans that whine and complain when they get their chance.

What is your point? You are whining like a women with no specific issue to address yourself.
