Anyone know if this JR OLB from Florida State is entering the draft? The next Derrick Brooks

I'm a big seminoles fan and last I saw on the website it says he is.....I dont know how he will turn out in the NFL wish he would have stuck around one more year but I can promise you this one he IS one of the hardest hitting linebackers around that boy can lay a hit.

Yes, he declared for the draft and is projected to be a late first round pick, so the fins have no shot unless they want to take him at 16, but we got bigger needs than that.

Know what round he is projected? In PS2 College Football he is a 96 overall with an 88 speed and 92 acceleration.... blazing fast

He declared. Consensus is that he would have benefitted from another year in college and would likely go in the first round next year. As it stands, he ccould still make it in towards the late part of the round or into the second. His individual workout will be key. He would also be wise not to skip the combine.

Never saw him play in real life. Is he as fast in real life as he is in NCAA football for PS2? Probably the fastest LB in the game

I just graduated from FSU after being there for 4 and a half years. I used to talk to him since I worked at the gym he always worked out at, which is near his high school. He is an amazing athlete with unbeleivable strength and speed. If he came back for his senior season he would most likely be the top LB in the draft and a top 10 pick. He will be a steal in the late first possibly early second round for a team, but unfortunately grabbing him at 16 will be a reach, but if there isn't much available at 16 we could trade down to the late first and get him and an extra pick, who knows?

As for being someone who has talked to him personally, I was amazed at how educated he is. He had some problems at FSU, but it was a complete shock. If anyone has ever spoken with him you would understand. Both of his parents are college graduates from FSU. His dad played football and his mom ran track at FSU. He went to a very high class high school in tallahassee. The kid is educated and articulate. He just had a problem with his girlfriend in college, which was probably taken out of context by the media.

Sure he's educated, but he's also a punk. I know he went to NFC and should be pretty educated, but he has major attitude issues. I think staying in Tallahassee hurt him.

At this point Sims could EASILY slip to the second round.

A.J. Hawk - OSU
Chad Greenway - Iowa
DeMarco Ryans - Alabama
Bobby Carpenter - OSU
Thomas Howard - UTEP
D'Qwell Jackson - Maryland

all these linebackers are likely to be selected before him, if he can slip to our pick in the 2nd round it would be an absolute steal. I would love to see him in a Dolphins uniform. Ernie Sims is a difference maker on the field and for anyone to call him overrated is nothing short of ridiculous.

If he's there in Rd 2 we have to take him, but he's not worth the 16th pick

I am a hurricane fan and really dont like FSU but I do know that MF'er can play and if we were lucky enough to take him in the second round that would be a blessing for us down the road for our defense!!!!!
