ESPN Insiders take on Ramsey Situation

Oh, I’m not saying Grier didn’t F that up. He did. He should have jumped on AVG the year prior. Everyone saw how good he was… except Grier.

All I’m saying is, if Minny hadn’t of tampered then there was a better chance that Grier didn’t mess it up as bad and AVG stayed. Plus, he and his family like it in Minny better and it’s obvious.
No they didn’t want to leave Miami, Miami did not make an offer Minnesota did, and the rest is history.

Pretty easy to see nobody wants an over the age of 30, locker room cancer, who is above average at this point and being paid like a shutdown corner.

I give Grier a little more credit than most on this site, but that extension was a bad bad bad deal for us.

I’m sure he’ll be picked up. He can’t sign with another team until after June 1st, however. This detail is why he’s not already gone.

Unless a serious contender suddenly loses a starting CB for the season due to an injury during training camp, then that team might be desperate enough to 'take a flyer' on acquiring Jalen Ramsey.

Otherwise, the Dolphins might still trade the guy after June 1st, however he likely won't be worth all that much given his negatives. If he could be counted on to be a 'good citizen' this year, it probably would be better for Miami to simply retain his services.

I dont think keeping him on the roster is a good idea, like the article referenced this is the guy that showed up to the Jags TC in an armored truck when he wasnt happy, not the guy I want hanging around our team if hes unhappy.
Who cares? You trade him or he plays. Don’t cut him for nothing.

I’m not saying that they were dead set on leaving Miami, or that Grier didn’t mess this up. Barry Jackson reported that the Dolphins had interest in resigning him, but he also had meetings lined up with “a team” and a few others were showing interest.

I think the Vikes tampered and Grier waited too long. I think if the Vikes had not of tampered there was a good chance he would have resigned here. However, it’s clear they both love being so close to home now.

Regardless, not matching or even going over the Vike’s offer was just stupid.

Whether they tampered or not that doesn’t matter if Miami had an offer in the table

No agent no comment from Grier about any offer

And that’s usually a thing around here, Wilkins, Hunt some other we’ve heard of offers.

Alan poupairt doesn’t write lies if he knows something, say what you want about him but he does t write for clicks or lies.

Plus I heard his wife say they wanted to be here forever.

As we reported last September,Van Ginkel really wanted to stay in Miami, the only NFL home he'd known after arriving as a 2019 fifth-round pick, but the Dolphins simply made no effort to keep him.”

“As in, none. “

“Early in the process, the Dolphins made it clear to Van Ginkel's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, that they were going to let him leave as a free agent and that no offer would be forthcoming.”

I'm honestly excited to see what cam Smith and the rookie James Marshall can do. We desperately needed to get younger at corner anyway and even if there's some ups and downs during the year, I think we'll be better for it.

Corner probably more than any other position ages quickly. You want to go with youth there. Trade Ramsey for whatever imo
