ESPN - Jonathan Martin wants to play again, but not in Miami.

I hope he plays for another team again. Not for his wellbeing, but so that team travels to MIA and he gets to not only hear the booos in the crowd but then get utterly abused by the DL. If he makes it back to the NFL, and if he makes another team, he will not make it out of that stadium on his own volition.

Edit: I wouldn't even take him on my flag football team. Seriously, we often have NFL players out there (how do you think Steve Smith hurt his arm a few years back) and I wouldn't let him on my team.

It's certainly possible. The threat of the NFI list -- which apparently the Dolphins were initially inclined to put Martin on -- had to have been a factor is his decision to pursue this course. They absolutely should have put him on injured reserve instead.

the NFI list is the ONLY reason we are at War with Martin now, oddly enough it kinda points that we might not have known because putting him on IR would have had him out for 8 weeks instead of NFI he would be out one or two weeks but he misses paychecks we wanted him back thus NFI

Cam will DESTROY him!!!!!

or Shelby
or OV
or even Jordan...he is paper soft and can't do his job at this level, IM almost wishing he plays in our division so that we can really destroy his psyche

From the very moment this story came out i said he is a bitch and kept that stance. That bitch is done hell not even a cfl team would take him.

Quitters dont change. Once a quitter always a quitter.

...and what team that doesn't absolutely suck will touch Incognito?

At least one 'playoff team' already told Peter King privately that they would be interested, or that is what people who actually watch Football Night have told me.

It's easy. Richie goes to counseling. Talks about how he's been making steps in his life and this is one more. Declares he is giving up alcohol. Starts going to AA meetings, does community service. Someone will want him. He is a solid football player with a few years left in him.

The Miami Dolphins are being damaged far more than Richie is here, IMO.

Useless poster is useless, if your going to crap then do it or GTFO, I'm going to make a prediction. This story is far from over, more to come, it might be good or it might be bad but it's coming! Stop with your useless flapping of fingers. If you have info then give it to us or just STFU.

I remember on the Canes board where so many posters even until the last day before sanctions were revealed kept spewing, " you're going to be a lot angrier than happy, this is just the beginning etc. . " and a lot of other cryptic BS. In the end? A slap on the wrist, so either tell us something or stop the BS.

You appear to be confusing me with someone who gives a **** what you think.

The ignore list is always at your disposal.

Martin wanting to play again is simple. He has to say that. If the situation is proven to show "the work culture" prevented him from having his career. Miami will be on the hook for much more than his present salary. People have been paid out on lost earnings all the way to projected retirement age. It's law not football.

Average NFL career is 4 years. He's got two left.

Please correct me if I'm wrong (seriously) but so far what we've heard has been neutralized in context and no assertions of his have been corroborated by first hand witnesses. To the contrary, his teammates in the coaching room and locker room have disputed his claims... so far. What may come out further for sure has the potential to be "damaging" but without the proffer of proof, it's just hearsay. As a counterpunch, what's to stop Richie, or another teammate from asserting that they had to step in to prevent Martin from "Michael Jackson'ing" an underage boy, applying the same standards of "proof" that in reality attaches to Martin's claims without corroboration?

Now if he brings up misconduct in or out of the locker room without tying it into his "bullying" claim for leaving, then it looks like vindictive, sour grapes and as such without substantiation, is suspect or even worse when it comes to reflecting on Martin.

That seems to be a popular perception around here but I don't think that's the wider public perception.

so according to Lisa Salters, Martin said his time with the Fins was hell, BUT Martin's people said he is getting medical attention for an undisclosed illness.

at one point does everybody just accept that Martin had mental issues?
