ESPN - Jonathan Martin wants to play again, but not in Miami.

It's easy. Richie goes to counseling. Talks about how he's been making steps in his life and this is one more. Declares he is giving up alcohol. Starts going to AA meetings, does community service. Someone will want him. He is a solid football player with a few years left in him.

The Miami Dolphins are being damaged far more than Richie is here, IMO.

Maybe. I think it's easier to kill someone (Lewis?, Stallworth) or kill dogs and bounce back than for Incognito to bounce back from this. He may be viewed as a locker room cancer and I'd be shocked to see him go to any contender.

Overall, the court of public opinion is going to matter little.

Yep, very true. Where should the examples begin? Big Ben? Ray Lewis? Michael Irvin? Riley Cooper?

A locker room cancer? I guess the MIAMI locker room is full of delusional children?

He will probably end up on a team, but hes not that good so he'll have to fight for a position just like anyone else.

Martin has said nothing. This report is from an ESPN reporter in Tampa and "according to a source close to Martin." Even with that, nothing was said from "the source" that he did not want to play in Miami.

The only thing I see on ESPN is that "It is unlikely Martin will play in Miami this year."

So, where do all these posts come from?

I don't get that line of thinking at all. By all accounts from his peers, Richie has been depicted as a great teammate, supportive, a kidder who livens up the clubhouse and if anything someone, unlike Martin who has their backs. Couple in that relative to Martin, he's better at his job. On the other hand, what player would want to line up next to someone who they suspect is too soft for his job, doesn't have their back, requires tiptoeing around him lest they provoke a hissy fit and what owner want to risk a potential litigious situation hiring a mentally unbalanced mediocre player who has already demonstrated that he has no problem bonding by pranking others, but becomes a whining beyotch when the tables are turned? If anything Martin is toxic. While he won't invite the level of scrutiny that signing a Tebow would, at this point there's no way whatever team he plays for won't be under the microscope. Who needs that kind of agita for someone who's a below average performer?

so according to Lisa Salters, Martin said his time with the Fins was hell, BUT Martin's people said he is getting medical attention for an undisclosed illness.

at one point does everybody just accept that Martin had mental issues?

Everyone will accept it, but it's going to be pinned on the Dolphins and his work environment. Blame game.

Again, I sincerely hope that the Dolphins front office is working hard to come to a solution that all parties involved can live with that will also end this as soon as possible. I know that some folks want to see the team exonerated of wrongdoing here, or air Martin's dirty laundry to try to restore some credibility to other parties, but ultimately I just want to be able to talk about friggin' FOOTBALL again. I posted a thread to day about how we're the only team that hasn't scored 40 or more points in a game a single time since 2004 and I think I got like six replies.

The public opinion ( The media) is the driving force behind this, otherwise, this would have been over in a couple of days.

Exactly, both players will move on, and more than likely get picked up by another team, but this does more damage to the image of the Dolphins management.

While he won't get hazed again, he will struggle to be accepted going forward. For him not to even attempted to have gone to management and to have just gone running home to mommy and Daddy will lead to lots of questions about his makeup and toughness.

Someone will give him a shot, and his performance will dictate whether he stays on with a team, as long as he performs, teams will not care about what happened, remember, he is the "victim".

Like Dave Chappelle would say.....

Martin wears the panties with the dick hole in the front.
