ESPN/NFL Network fail to do commentary on Fins

I'm not from Miami so I don't get to hear a lot of chatter. Miami beat writers are pretty awful by my standards. Omar and Chris are unreadable, Adam Beasley is one of those angry guys who never played sports, Dave Hyde and Barry Jackson are good but neither are fully on Dolphins beat. Ben Volin was is the Wes Welker of former fin writers and no surprise Boston Globe picked him up.

I work in sports media [non football] so I really like to see how things are positioned by national media outlets and plus I like to hear my fins get credit sometimes.

I have a Dolphins app on my phone. It's pretty handy and has some cool stuff on there. Check it out if you have a smartphone.

As for the beat writers, I agree they all mostly are poor to read. I'd much prefer, and do, stay on this site and chat with you guys during and after games. There's no better place to be. I haven't watched ESPN Primetime or the NFL Network highlight shows for years. I used to as a kid b/c that was before the internet was popular but now there's no point.

Why they don't show Dolphins highlights is beyond me. Northeast bias? Why would a popular channel like ESPN alienate teams like that? I'd understand it if the Dolphins were 2-10.

NFLN's Gameday final just ran complete highlights of the game.

I like to hear what Trent Dilfer has to say on ESPN. Outside of that, that crew is just awful. Berman is just loud, Tom Jackson doesn't care anymore, Ditka is Ditka, Keyshawn & Carter are both try to be the diva analysts, and Schlereth is just way too smug. Steve Young is usually pretty fair.

I think NFLN is a lot better....I think Irvin and Sapp at least say what is truly on their minds, Faulk has his RB bias but thats ok, Kurt Warner is really good, Sharpe I've liked since his ESPN days and he always give Dolphins a fair shake, and Mariucci isn't so bad either.

ESPN showed every game and brought it back to roundtable discussion. Dolphins don't even get highlights, just showed the last play then went right into next game highlights.

NFL Network did the same of highlights + roundtable discussion but broke right into next game's highlights and didn't talk about the Dolphins. NFL network showed Tannehill INT, TD pass to Hartline for fins portion of reel.

No respect!

I hope you're able to recover from this. It must be devastating.

C'mon dude, who cares! We won! That's all that matters!

When the Dolphins beat the Patriots next week all those network people are going sink into a deep depression because they won't be able to show any highlights of their beloved Patriots.

They showed Heath Evans saying that he believes the SanDiego chargers have a better chance at the playoff than the fins, even though we beat them head to head, what a Maroone!!!!

Heath Evans went on to say he didn't want to disrespect the jets or titans because he thought the chargers were gonna take the 6 seed with no mention of the phins even though we are in front of both the titans and jets. What a schmuck

Saw this last night and thought the same thing. No mention of the fins at all.

No, they will show highlights of all the Pats scores then say something like "then the Pats made a mistake and lost control". They then show a FG we make to win and cut to commentary about what went wrong for the Pats.

Jackson on ESPN absoluty hates the fins...he still thew in a barb yesterday about our distracted lockerroom:lol:

Ranked us and the jets last on the wildcard hunt.

Last? Even though the Phins are tied for the wildcard lead lol

NFL AM just showed the AFC Playoff picture. The Dolphins were listed at 6-6 and they said Miami is a full game behind the Ravens and just slightly ahead of the Chargers and Jets.
