I'm not from Miami so I don't get to hear a lot of chatter. Miami beat writers are pretty awful by my standards. Omar and Chris are unreadable, Adam Beasley is one of those angry guys who never played sports, Dave Hyde and Barry Jackson are good but neither are fully on Dolphins beat. Ben Volin was is the Wes Welker of former fin writers and no surprise Boston Globe picked him up.
I work in sports media [non football] so I really like to see how things are positioned by national media outlets and plus I like to hear my fins get credit sometimes.
I have a Dolphins app on my phone. It's pretty handy and has some cool stuff on there. Check it out if you have a smartphone.
As for the beat writers, I agree they all mostly are poor to read. I'd much prefer, and do, stay on this site and chat with you guys during and after games. There's no better place to be. I haven't watched ESPN Primetime or the NFL Network highlight shows for years. I used to as a kid b/c that was before the internet was popular but now there's no point.
Why they don't show Dolphins highlights is beyond me. Northeast bias? Why would a popular channel like ESPN alienate teams like that? I'd understand it if the Dolphins were 2-10.
