Thank god you don't run nothing but a keyboard on the internetz.
First you should care about his neck injury when bringing in a athlete.
MIA doesn't have to give anyone a shot, even a 'legend' that is 35 years old.
As for 'learn from the best' nonsense. How did Painter look this past year with multiple years learning from the best?
If Manning is 100% you pay him. But you don't go allocating reps and resources to a guy who isn't going to be 100% and is entering his late 30's. You don't do it if you want to be relevant in the next 4 years.
Painter just flat out sucked. Tannehill, weeden, and Osweiler have better skill sets and more upside.
I do care about his neck, but the man is cleared to play, and even if he isnt 100% healthy, a 75% Manning is a huge upgrade over M twice.
By bringing in Manning it shows that our team wants to win a superbowl now, just like the Vikes did a few years back with Brett Favre and they almost made it to the super bowl.
You Honestly think us fans are thinking "super bowl bound" with Matt Moore at QB or Matt Flynn? the answer is no and neither is anyone else, because its not realistic. the odds are too low and the odds are better with Manning, even if he isnt 100% healthy
Besides the injury, give me a reason why not to sign a 35 year old legend? especially if we draft a QB early, it really wouldnt hurt much. From a business point of view, it would sell tickets like crazy. Manning gives us the best chance to win now while a young QB who sits a couple years gives us the best chance to win for the future
Kind of like how the Packers went from Favre to Rodgers without really missing a beat.
What is your suggestion on our QB situation?
