Eagles got Nolan Carroll real cheap. Dolphins just didn't want him to be the guy competing with Jamar Taylor for a starting spot.

Gotta say, for that price i'd keep him for sure. But if Hickey/Philbin want to raise the competition level in camp for our young CBs, then I can definitely get behind that. If Taylor beats out a sub-par CB what do we really know about his skill, but if he beats out an average to above average CB, it speaks volumes.

Why are some people so unkind? He competed 100% of the time and played very well last season. Eagles are a well run team - apparently they have the most advanced player evaluation unit in the NFL - I think they just got a bargain.

Thats exactly what they got.A great bargain for a player that improved every year ,stayed healthy,and gave 100 %.Actually played well last year.Good luck Nolan

For that price I would have kept him. He wasn't great but he played well last year and you can never have too many good corners. They are going to have to sign someone to replace him and probably at around the same price if not more.

I don't get this AT ALL. You develop a guy for 4 years and then we lose him over a modest contract, when he is coming into his prime AND the team precisely needs a veteran cornerback to compete who won't break the bank? I mean, if he got $4 mil per, i could see letting him go, but this I do not get.
