Did you actaully watch any of his games from NC State? Ya know, its not always about having the perfect physical specimen with the perfect mechanics, football is just as much about the intangibles as the tangibles... I think you are absolutely dead wrong... I hope when Rivers proves you wrong that you are man enough to come back and admit that you didn't know what the frack you were talking about.
I watched almost all of his games at NC state, and he broke records with a sloppy throwing motion in a weak ACC, save Florida State.
The comparison to Marino is invalid because well I wasn't alive to see Marino play in college, and there are a million examples of college QB's with poor mechanics that did never make good pro QB's. Comparing River's potential to Marino's is ludacris unless your also compare River's potential to the thousands of other great college QB's that have come out and flopped.
Hey, the kid might turn out good, and he might prove me wrong. But IMO he won't be any good. Most of the reason I'm even arguing this point is due to the fact that I would not gamble that much money on that particular player. I would prefer the Dolphins seek a guy with some experience, or simply draft their own QB.
This thread is about aquiring Phillip Rivers, and IMO it would be a poor decision for the Dolphins to make.
