Like the titles says give your reasons why our Dolphins will make the playoffs and than give your reasons why our Dolphins won't make the playoffs.

Why we will: Ryan Tannehill is back and he might just have the best OL of his career. Drake and Gore could give us the best duo we've had since the Ricky and Ronnie days which should help Tannehill. In 2016 Ryan was 24th in pass attempts through 13 games and was on pace for the fewest attempts of his career. Maybe it means nothing or maybe it means the more Tannehill is asked to throw the more the team is likely to falter. Before I get flamed take note that I am basing this on nothing more than coincidence of making the playoffs on the same season Tanne had the fewest attempts of his career and freely admit it's not a well thought out theory and I have zero evidence to support it.

Why we won't: The defense worries me moreso I'm not sold on Burke. Now I'm not saying the guy sucks or can't improve just that I don't have a lot of faith in him. Nor do I have a lot of faith in our unproven DT's. If we end up with a bottom 10 defense again we're going to need a top 5 offense to have a shot at the playoffs, and I don't see us having a top 5 offense.

Why we might: Miami might have 4 games against rookie QB (Bills and Jets), 2 games against 2nd year QBs (Bears and Texans) although playing against Watson isn't really an advantage. Raiders have to travel to East. Improved OL. Team has more cohesion. Everything goes right for Miami like playing against teams at the right time, balls bounce their way, stay healthy, etc...

Why we might not: Loss of talent in Suh and Landry. Injuries as players age like Gore, Wake, Amendola who are expected to be key contributors. Defense can't stop the run or get pressure on QB. Lack of a true leader at QB as Tannehill has yet to show he can get a team to the playoffs or elevate the play of those around him.

Will: Just about everything goes right.
Won't: First 4-6 weeks needed for OL to gel, Tannehill to get all the rust out, and WRs/TEs need to get in snyc with QB. On D, not comfortable with the 3rd (unknown) LB, and new faces to learn the system.

Why we will:

QB....In Tennehill I trust!!!
RB....Drake (Impact RB)...Gore (Impact RB)...Ballage(Proven nothing, but does he sound like a keeper in camp)
WR...Armendola, Parker, Stills, Wilson, Ford, Grant (there is good talent in that group)
TE....Though TEs like Escobar, Grey, Derby are solid enough where one, big maybe two will help team, Smythe and Gesicki both could be very good to great players.
O-line....A line consisting of Tunsil...Sitton...Kilgore...Davis... James looks to be as solid a group as Miami has had in a while.
D-Line...MIami is loaded with impressive pass-rushers on the ends, and solid players in the middle good enough to use in a rotation, keeping everyone fresh.
LB....McMillan looking like the real deal, Alonzo having really good camp. with a few other LBs that have looked pretty good in camp.
Secondary....The Dolphins are 4 or more deep at corner, and at least 3 deep at Safety. This could be a very talented secondary.
Coaching....In Gase I trust....twice fold!!!

Why we will not:

Many reason...
1.
Some of the young players may not produce during game night as they have during camp.
2. Players Like Parker continue to be inconsistent.
3. The D-line or LB experiment falls flat in our face.
4. The Other Corners in camp don't do well enough to pull their weight to do their on the other side off X.
5. Miami gets in a lot of close games without a real Kicker they can rely on.
6. Our old nemesis, the Ugly Injury bug.
7. Tannehill plays ok, but coming back from the injuries after 1 1/2 from playing like he was in 2016.

1. N.E and Pitt is 2 best team in afc that said we are down to 4 teams

3. kc has better coach but LAC has better talent in west... one of these team will win there div
4. jax is hungry and hou is question mark follow by tenn... one of these team will win there div
5. ravens might be the 4th best time in afc but they will find way not to make playoff
6. key to dolphins making playoff is up to thill17 in 2018...
7, Denver need same good qb play to make playoff
8 last 2 spot idk

Play better grab momentum, players will feed off this, just like a rock rolling downhill

The talent on most of these teams is pretty close, the ones that believe in themselves push forward and win.

this is why we will get in or not
1.N.E 2.PITT 3LAC 4. HOU 5.JAX 6. (RAV,DOL,TENN,KC,CIN and den) fighting for last spot

Offense takes a significant step forward. A healthy Tannehill and an improved offensive line might be the key to a playoff run.

Stopping the run is the one area that could hold this team back.

All I can say is, our offense had better be leaps and bounds better than they are so far in training camp or we aren't going anywhere in 2018. So it all hinges on our offense imo. I think our defense will be solid. If our offense steps up then we'll get a playoff birth. If not, we'll end up with a losing record and Gase will fall on the sword.

Will: Team Culture, Gase finally runs his offense, no key injuries.
Won't: Injuries, undisciplined (dumb penalties), can't stop the run.

how we could: tom brady gets hurt and we win the division at 7-9.

why we wont: he doesnt.

Why they will: The team chemistry is drastically better than in previous seasons and the players feed off the enthusiasm and avoid the slow starts. Success breeds success and they go on a roll. The veterans on the team will be true leaders and hold everyone accountable to eliminate the stupid mistakes and penalties.

Why they won't: The middle of the defense gets exploited by strong running games and teams capitalize on slow starts. TE's and RB's have career days against us.

The offense will be much better with the return of Tannehill. The o-line appears very tough and ready to play. Gore and Drake are a potent 1, 2 punch out of the backfield and we have studs at TE, especially Gisecki. If that wasn't enough we have Wilson, Stills, Parker, Amendola, Grant!!!!! The improved offense along with an improved defense puts us in the Playoffs.

Or, the injury bug his us and we lose key players. Other than that we getting in imo.
