Explain Why The Dolphins Will And Won't Make The Playoffs.

People are still putting playoff teams on this unreachable pedestal even with the 2 to 4 crap teams we've seen in the AFC playoffs in recent years. It's like people don't watch football.

Seriously, it's like there is maybe 1 game on wild card weekend that is worth watching every year. The majority of the playoff teams are not playoff teams anymore. We weren't a playoff team 2 years ago, neither were the Bills or Titans last year. It's really not this unreachable climb. For the last 2 years how many teams were vying for the 6th seed with 2 weeks to play? Those WC's are wide open in the AFC. And what's with the Houston love? I'm betting the highest percentage of interceptable passes as well as defenses having film catches up to Watson and he takes a step back in 2018.

Our team is so much different from Gase's first year. I wouldn't be surprised if we made the playoffs but I also wouldn't be surprised if we only win 5 or 6 games. I think we finish some where in between 8-9 wins and miss the playoffs. We have a lot of question marks and relatively unproven players at a lot of positions.
 
The Chargers have been the dark horse Super Bowl team for...what....9 preseasons in a row now?

Wake me up when that happens and they have more than 9 wins. Because that hasn't happened since 2009.

Will - A lot of things go our way

Not - A lot of things don't go our way
 
i think we miss the playoffs this year, finishing on the low end 5 wins, on the high end, 8 wins.

We miss because:

1. Interior Defense - We lost a perennial pro bowler and didn't replace him. Huge loss. Kiko is the only player on the second level with any experience and that is scary. Teams will gouge us with the run and that will open up play-action and the passing game. This will be exploited week-in, week-out.
2. Offensive Line - will take us a while to gel there, but it could happen. Kilgore isn't much of an upgrade over Pouncey and Tunsil and James haven't lived up to 1st round status yet, don't see that happening this year. 1 injury, we're back to **** here.
3. Tannehill - the biggest question mark on the team. How will he bounce back? Time will tell.
4. Kicker - 2 rookies battling it out? doesn't sound like the mark of a winning team.
5. Other Question Marks - can Drake stay healthy all year? can Ammendola handle being Ryan's blankey all year? will Parker ever play to his potential? can Grant contribute? how much can Gesicki contribute year 1? will the line stay healthy?
6. Penalties - too many penalties. this is the sign of an inexperienced or bad coach. Gase needs to figure this out or he will see himself out.
 
Will- Fast start to the season, can run the ball effectively, Defensive backfield plays well, one of the top pass rushing teams in the league

Wont- Matt Burke is in over his head as DC, erratic FG kicking, can't run the ball, undisciplined penalties, 8 game stretch in 2016 for Tannehill was a fluke.
 
Why we will: No more coke snorting OL coaches (as far as we know)

Why we will not: A new mock draft has us selecting 5th overall.
 
Plus another thing is that the pats get every call...They probably pay the commissioner by the side and the refs too.....Cheatriots. and their coach belicheat.
 
How can we make playoffs or win the division with the pats getting everycall. They are good enough as it is.

Now if they get every call like they ussually do....Game over....why play the game.....
