Fairweather Fans

Miami as a town is full of fair weather fans, regardless of the sport. If the team doesn't win the seats are not filled, it happens with the Marlins, Canes and Fins so just because someone flew to Ohio does not mean the Miami's fans are not fair weathered. South Florida fans in general might be the worst in the ocuntry when it comes to sticking with their temas through thick and thin.
Again....I guess I have to explain my ORIGINAL post.....Miami may have some fairweather fans, BUT THERE ARE ALOT OF DIE HARD FANS outside of Miami that can only watch games on TV.......and to elaborate on the "someone flew to Ohio" first off it was a little more than "someone" it was alot of "someones" from a lot of "somewheres"!! You are generalizing the fact that since the stadium is not always full, then the fans suck.

I have a question here guys. i live in okla. and i cant always watch my fins because cbs show kc or denver teams, but anyways couldn't this low attendence problems be fixed ? like dolphin fans recruiting other fans or putting together some kind of community project that would unit the peopl and couldn't the team do something to improve this . because this is embarassing seeing more jets fans there or seeing a empty stadium on tv.

i wish i lived down there and had the money to go to every game. but i am proud of my fellow dolphins yesterday it was great to see so many fans in attendence.

It happens with the Marlins?? We couldn't fill the seats when we were in the World Series for God's sake. The Marlins don't have fair weather fans because they don't have fans period except me and possibly 6 more people. Me personally, I love all the South Florida teams no matter what the sport and no matter what their record indicates. The Miami Dolphins at 4 and 12 are no different than at 12 and 4, they're still the Miami Dolphins and I'm still one of their greatest fans when the sun sets. I'll probably love the Miami Dolphins more than my first born child. But yes, Miami is a city full of fair weather fans. If you need proof, look no further than the Miami Heat. I jumped aboard the Heat wagon back in the Rony Seikaly days. I even passed on attending a baseball game in Atlanta when the Braves were playing the Diamondbacks just to see the Heat lose game 6 of the playoffs against the Pacers. By the way, that Braves game was the game that Randy Johnson threw the perfect game.....and I stayed at home. :shakeno:

The Miami Dolphins have one of the largest fanbases of any professional sports team in the country...but locally, the fanbase is downright pathetic.
Circling Wagons...I never thought I'd say this, but you are absolutely correct!! I agree 100%!!
