Falcons lose left tackel

If we can get sustained pressure with just a 4 man front that would be absolutely huge, could see them running the ball a bit too even without Jackson, our run D hasn't been that good so far this season for whatever reason. Hope Jordan gets into the game more, especially as a pass rusher.

Isn't it always the case that when our opponents supposedly have a weak offense line, they magically do not allow a single sack against us? It was the same thing when rookie Nate Solder was starting for the Patriots in their season opener and Cameron Wake would have the sack record for a single game locked up before the game. Patriots beat us bad that day and Wake never got to the QB. So, what I want to say, even if their starting LT is out, they don't have Marc Colombo playing.

So the Falcons are starting Trueblood at RT and moving their out of shape slob RT over to LT..

"Trueblood's worst game as a Pro, and one of the worst graded games of all time of any player by Pro football Focus was a -9.0 against the Miami Dolphins in week 10 against Cameron Wake, who had one of the single best PFF graded games ever by a DE. Cameron Wake, against Trueblood, recorded 1 sack and 10 separate QB pressures on just 23 pass rush plays."

Stay thirsty my friends..

Good stuff. What game was this?

Trueblood used to play for the Bucs. He's awful now. Trueblood is Atlanta's Colombo. He's a Tampa Bay castoff and signed with the Deadskins when Free agency started in March. They cut him before the season started and he didn't play a down for them because he was so terrible. Atlanta signed him a couple weeks ago as Sam Baker has looked terrible after the big contract (took it easy all offseason) and RT Holmes was so out of shape sucking wind and oxygen masks on the bench by the 2nd quarter.

Do you recall how awful Arizona's offensive tackles were last season ?? Every team was tearing them apart, and they got their QB's annihilated. Well expect Atlanta's tackles to somewhat approach Arizona's OT level last year.

The Falcons will start Jeremy Trueblood at right tackle in Week 3.
Atlanta is reeling up front. Trueblood was cut by the Redskins before final cuts, and signed by the Falcons on September 3. Lamar Holmes -- who's gotten rocked at right tackle -- will attempt to protect Matt Ryan's blindside due to Sam Baker's foot and ankle injuries. Trueblood has been wholly ineffective in his eight-year career. He'll be on Cameron Wake's side on Sunday. Sep 20 - 6:38 PM - Rotoworld

I imagine blitz packages galore by the Dolphins defense in this game. As long as we can stop the receivers of Atlanta, we should do fine. If we cant stop Jones and Gonzalez, then maybe not.

we shouldn't have to blitz at all. With how terrible their tackles are and how good our edge rushers are, we should just play them straight up most of the game. We need the extra players in coverage to help out on their Big 3 receivers.
Jordan should get more PT this week and I hope he destroys the LT

Wait did someone suggest a pro NFL team would be better without their starting LT? Idk even know what to say.

Im pretty close to positive that wed have been a better team if Colombo missed every game the year we had him.
