Farmer out as GM candidate

Im not saying I disagree with you but nothing wrong with someone being positive, although I realize what he said is a little unrealistic and will never happen.
He said the Browns are primed and in a position to redefine the history books. He also says he loves Michael Lombardi and praises him. Either he is lying or not real bright, the Browns are still a joke and Lombardi might be the worst GM in the NFL.

not quite sure how you "redefine the history books" but I'm sure there's a point in there somewhere

There is speculation the Browns want to acquire Kirk Cousins to compete with Brian Hoyer. Supposedly, Kyle Shanahan, their new offensive coordinator, likes Cousins from their time together in Washington. The problem would be that the Browns would have to give up something substantial, and the Browns need as many draft picks as they can find, not be giving them up (although they do have some extra picks this year).

As for Gamble, Paton, Dawson, Farmer, Ross, DeCosta, Cesario, et al....some of them got caught up in the media drama. They all passed on Miami as if they could afford to....but there JUST aren't that many GM jobs. Not all of them will ever get a chance, period or a good one. Only so many openings, and every year, there will be other hotshot candidates. Other openings may have other limitations and even if they get a chance, it may be a bad situation where they bomb.

I don't think the media so called drama scared anyone away but the Miami job probably was not as appealing as waiting out for other options to some canidates. we have no clue how our owner came off in these interviews.
Dcosta is waiting on Newsome. Caserio is probably going to take over when BB calls it quits, . The browns had major issues finding a coach much like we did a GM. It basically came down to well nobody else wants the job lol.
Cleveland does have some very good talent in some areas but their qb decisions have haunted them for years. Cleveland does have 10 picks in draft so as long as they don't give up more than a third to get cousins , why not.
Trade for Cousins , bring back Hoyer, let Weeden compete and draft another qb. with all that you may find your future qb. Taking Weeden in first round was a horrible choice though.
They do have an elite LT, WR. Some very good dlinemen, a damn good center
