Fed Up with the silence

Why havent we heard any rumors of Philbin getting canned? Where the hell is Steven Ross? He knows the fans are pissed yet says nothing? Where the hell is my idol Dan Marino? He cant be sitting there enjoying this **** show. We've now wasted over a year of this Epic Failbin era....he shoulda been gone early last year. This once glorious storied franchise reduced to a laughingstock of The NFL by Cam Cameron 2.0 yet not even a whisper. They were laughing about the timeouts on NBC last night. So sick of the sit on your hands approach this team has become.
Im actually in shock. As a fan for 42 years Ive seen the good times....believe it or not we were once the winningest franchise in pro sports! Oh woe is me I will pop my own bottle of champagne when Failbin is canned this is torture. The team has a decent roster and is being totally undermined by an incompetent unqualified Head Coach. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD (or at least Dolfans) SAY SOMETHING ROSS! Like "we will not put up with losing to a banged up Chiefs team or giving Rodgers our timeouts..win or heads start rolling immediately"
#FIREPHILBIN
:sorry: guys but the silence is killing me
I feel you Dolphin brother. I also recall the time when we could go to our stadium and they would show the stat how we were the winningest team in all of sports since 1970. I would've fired Philbin after dropping the last 2 games last year. But you know Ross is loyal to a fault. Hopefully Dan will speak up and end this era sooner than later. We shouldn't keep him any longer because we aren't winning anything this year anyway. We should focus on draft position and put a quality/proven regime in place. If we are not going to win the Super Bowl, who cares? I'd rather be 2-14 than be 8-8 and stuck in purgatory.

We need to ride the storm let him finish the year then can him.

5 weeks in and you want to tank it with ELEVEN games to play?

Draft position is no cure all, especially if you truly only have the talent of a 2 win team. Purgatory is not comparable to having a talented 8 win squad without the possible advantage of having a competent HC, if that's your basis of prediction.

You don't throw the towel in at 2-3.

Nobody is happy with the final result Sunday....but you have to let this play out.

If Miami doesn't get on a roll here...you will see some changes next year.

In Ross' mind it goes like this...

"Wow. We almost beat the Packers. These guys are great. Maybe I can get Snoop Dog to buy part of the team now...then I'll be one of the 'homies'...being rich is good!"

lolz

I'm sure he's got people who keep a pulse on fans and social media.
FinHeaven can't be the only people pissed with a run on 3rd and 9, Wheeler covering a TE in the redzone, 2 timeouts during an opponents rally drive (at HOME), and players looking lost on a fake spike.

Stephen Ross is the biggest developer in New York and the second wealthiest NFL owner behind Paul Allen. Do you seriously think that he wants Snoop Dog to be one of his "homies"? He is spending over $300M from his own pocket upgrading the stadium. He badly wants the team to win and get to the playoffs. He is a brilliant businessman and his nature is to be very private. Conversations will be held privately with Joe Philbin and he will assess the merits of the explanation. When you are a billionaire you don't need to be rushing to the media to express your dissatisfaction.

Things are not good but Philbin is not in danger of getting fired midseason. The problem with firing someone in the middle of the season is there in no one to take his place. All the good coaches are coaching. Unless you can get a deal in place with Cowher or someone Philbin will survive. The only other option is Lazor but that is very risky. He has no HC experience and is probably just not ready yet. It will be an interesting week.

If we pull off a win in Chicago that should be enough to keep everyone happy enough to play a bad Jags team. But if we lose either on the next two weeks, the wheels might really come off. There are a lot of players already who are getting ansy, another loss and they might turn on him. I have never liked Philbin but even I think we have to keep him til the end of the season. As I have said many times he should have been gone after that late season nightmare last year. He has to pull out 9 wins this season or he's gone. And I really don't see that happening. We would have to win the next 3 before I could even think about getting on board with keeping Joe at the end of the year. If we finish the 1st half of the season at 4-4 with a trip to Detroit followed by the donkeys, coming up we won't have much of a chance.

Joe's not getting canned. I like nearly everyone else on here was very disappointed to lose the game that was there for the taking, but it would be a panic move to fire him.
The simple fact is that the best QB in the NFL was lucky to claw his way to a last second victory. We went close to beating a very good team, after most of the media expected that we were set to be thrashed or as Tim Brown predicted a shellacking of major proportions. We have the makings of a very competitive team. Let's stick with Joe and see how this unfurls. I'm optimistic we can have a good win up in Chicago.

I hope you're not one of the guys clamoring for tannehill to get benched and released then because both tannehill and philbin are making the same mistakes they made when they both entered the league

This is why we couldn't get a strong GM. Thanks a lot Ross. No GM with power would admit to join a franchise and not be able to choose his coach. :bobdole:

Don't agree that Ross doesn't care--he definitely does. Philbin must make the playoffs or he's done and the likelihood of going 8-3 the rest of the way is very unlikely, so let's sit back and let it play out. Philbin makes a gaffe or headscratching call every week now so it's a foregone conclusion to me. I personally think Ross will break the bank the get Harbaugh. That's his Michigan guy, and he has the money to get him. I just hope he doesn't give up a high draft pick too.

I'm completely fine with what hickey has done. He's been a vg GM thus far

We are 2-3. Still a long way to go.

Why would you expect Ross to come out now and threaten the coach? We have a long way to go in the season. I seriously doubt anything will happen to after the regular season is over.......relax....
