Feeley = Deer in headlights

I think that is just how he regularly looks like. Pretty boys have a hard time looking tough

Is fear a right of passage to sh*t in your pants instead of maintaining some composure? Bro, this guy isn't going to develop into a leader if he doesn't overcome that dookie reaction.

Where do you get this?

The fact that AJ is standing tall in the pocket when faced with pressure instead of breaking outside the pocket to run around like a chicken with its head cut off shows me that he has a lot more pocket sense than Jay Fiedler, who wouldn't stand in the pocket with minimal pressure.

He's avoided double digit sacks in two games simply because he gets rid of the football. He doesn't stand back there like Damon Huard and take the beating. Huard didn't have a lick of pocket presence, which is exactly why he took so many sacks.

AJ Feeley has had maybe 10 plays in two games where he has gotten good protection, and he's been damn near perfect on those plays.

Moreover, he also lacks any athleticism to buy him time and evade a heavy rush.
I don't think he lacks athleticism. I'm partly quoting one of the Sunday Night announcers saying Feeley could be real effective at 2 minute drills because it's usually athleticism that gets you the score rather than skill.

I completely disagree that he looks like a deer in the headlights but, on the other hand I wouldn't blame him one bit if he did.

I don't remember how many stitches he got in his chin the other night but, I know it was over 10 and it happened when he got annihilated by Justin Smith.....Anybody that comes back in the game after that monster shot and then leads the team to tie the game at the end, has my respect and If you don't mind me saying it, he should have your respect too.
when he plays like a half way decent qb then he'll get my respect, the pre season and the first two games he's been down right horrible.

THIS IS UNBELIEVEABLE!!!!!! I'm sorry that after a game and a half he's not playing like Montana or Marino Whether you're for him(AJ) or not give the guy some F**king time. What were seeing is called growing pains, yeah it hurts to watch it but hell give the guy a shot at least. Just my opinion.:shakeno:

the only problem is he gets rid of the ball by tossing ints for tds if feidler had this guys numbers in 6 qt's of ball this boarde would be lit up with all he sucks post, heck people are still dogging him. 10 good plays wheres he's had good protection yeah keep making excuses when he threw the int for td in the cincy game he was not pressured i guess your right that was a perfect pass to defender. cost us the game.

It's amazing that that one play cost us the game.

It's too bad the other the other 59 minutes and 53 seconds didn't have anything to do with it.

The thing we must remember is that prior to this season, he had only played in 13 games since high school including college. With the O-line like this, its no wonder he looks frightned stiff, which is the reason to start the more mobile, gritty, experienced vet Fiedler, and let AJ learn from him, until the line is in better shape to protect.
:roflmao: You want Feeley to learn from Fiedler.:roflmao:Learn what, how to throw INT's. We would be in a hell of a fix when he learned all Fiedler has to give. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't AJ back up Mcnabb for 2-3 years. I think he learned while he was behind him....its time for him to show what he has. Because Fiedler has shown us already what he has and it isn't much.:shakeno:

oh i forgot we were in in the red zone we he threw a pass behind booker and that got picked , the only td was a horrible throw that didnt get picked, please tell me when did he look good, how about when he kept throwing into triple coverage and the ball was just up for grabs. how about the pass that hit the db right in the chest and he dropped it, or the 5yd out that should have been picked for a td thank god cincy def had hands of stone or we would have been blown out. granted the line play was horrible but not on every play he was just as horrible all night.

So when the ball is snapped and AJ takes a 3 step drop he is met by 3 of the Bengals 4 defensive lineman, Aj tries to throw the ball away but really didn't get a chance to even be able to do that and the play is ALL of his fault ???

Granted it would have been better for AJ to take the sack in hindsite but don't you also think that MAYBE if the offensive line would have made an attempt to even slow down the Bengal defense the play might have been a positive instead of a blatant negative ??
