Feeley = Deer in headlights

Any comment that starts out with "I don't think" isn't worth noting.
How is anyone's opinion any less valuable than yours? Just because you don't start with IMO or I think, it doesn't mean your argument is anything more than your opinion.

I'm not dogging an opinion because obviously I have a ton of my own. However, at some point you have to get off the "I think" wheel and throw in some factual information. His comment was that he didn't think even the great Marino wouldn't have been able to throw the ball behind that O-line. Well Marino isn't our QB and won't be (hence the whole retired thing) so the point is moot.

It's not moot, you just aren't seeing the real meaning of the question. What he's saying is not even the best quaterbacks can throw when they have less than three seconds before they are mauled by the opposing defense. It was an attempt at being clever and referencing a Dolphin legend. It definately was not "moot".

Sorry, I see what you mean now. It was a long thread and I guess I wasn't as thorough as a should have been while I read it. I thought you were down on his opinion, and using that as a defense of your own opinion. My bad :)

It was meant for dramatics and I'm sorry, that's not my thing as far as trying to prove a point goes. Oh how ironic this whole O-line situation is now that it's Feeley QB'ing.

It's just that when people talk about this stuff they need to stick to "what is" and not some make-believe mumbo jumbo. For dramatics, comments like "Not even Dan the Man could've thrown behind that line" get a 10, but actual information not even a 3. The fact that Dan was even brought up made me pass the statement off.

The ONLY reason that people are saying "deer in the headlights" is because that moron Theisman said it. Please, look at the film. He had no such look. You can make yourself believe anything if you try hard enough.

Every quarterback has had that deer in headlights look crap. Did any of yall look at Tom Brady on Sunday vs Cards. He had that same look everytime the defense penetrated the pocket. So to judge a QB because he has that look is completely moronic.

I actually agree with the Marino point. There was just no time (for most of the game anyway) for AJ to do anything. It seemed like every single time he dropped back he had at least one Bengal in his face. Sure the Marino comment may have been dramatic, but it wasn't like it was totally untrue. No QB would have faired well behind that line on Sunday.

Bro, I watched the game, but unfortunately had no volume so I had no clue what Joe Theismann was saying. I'm just telling it like I saw it.

He does have happy feet at times but he also has pocket presence and can move around a bit to avoid a rush.Considering it was his only his first start and he had so many new players to coordinate with he didnt do so bad.IMO he can only get better as the OL starts to gell and the WRs get on the same page with him.The WRs are not helping much.There were a couple of completed passes that should have been first downs if it hadnt been that Booker didnt go out far enough to complete his patterns.

AJ has a strange throwing style.A rope that doesnt look very classic but gets there fast.However his trajectory is too low and he will get a lot of passes blocked.Its a work in progress.
