Although Gus Frerotte has built an obvious lead over A.J. Feeley in the chase for Miami's starting quarterback spot, the advantage Feeley holds over Sage Rosenfels for the backup job apparently is closing.

And Brock Berlin also is gaining on Feeley as the former University of Miami player continues to make a case for a spot somewhere on the Dolphins roster.

He was #3 in Philly, and with Linehan ( a legitimate OC) on board it appears that Feeley is reverting to his old status. I agree it looks like Berlin is even outplaying him. However, I do think that Rosenfels and Berlin need to see action against better than third string fodder to prove they are better than Feeley.

I think he should be #3. Who knows, but this might actually be better for him in the long run. I think he is one of those guys who needs a little more time to develop the maturity needed to be a starting QB. He is what he is, there's no shame in that.

During the game I noticed coach Garrett going over pix with the qb's, gus brock and sage were there AJ was nowhere to be seen. I think this guy has very little concern about making himself better! all his interviews are so passive you wonder if he cares? I would like to see Saban start gus, and run sage or brock with the 2's and see how they would perform there.

No way he is not going to be a 3 with the money he is getting. I agree he isn't playing greeat but, he still will be the backup if he loses out to Gus

i say if he dosn't improve big time, we cut his sorry a$$

I wouldn't count on this one!! Sometimes you have to pay the price to rid yourself of a loser quarterback and that's what Feeley is, pure and simple!!:fire:

The guy has the talent, but he seems to be lacking in the "want to" department.

Of course, with a girlfriend like Heather Mitts, maybe he just doesn't care.

I don't see how feeley is falling so far behind. I am dissappointed in both. I've watched both games. I felt Feeley did a good job in game 1 and had Thompson not dropped that pass it would have been better and then he got hurt. Frerotte is doing fair but I don't know that he is distancing himself from Feeley and frerotte knows the offense (that's pretty bad). I do think both Berlin and Sage deservs some reps with the 1st and 2nd team. I beginning to like Berlin and we should keep a young QB we can groom. Is it possible we trade Feeley? I don't know; but it is interesting.

I noticed that too. He was just standing there facing the other way.

put him at #4 or on the practice squad :)

that or get rid of him, i think we need to let this play out a couple of more games, berlin isnt going to get cut so fast like alot of you thought, i think it coems down to the last preseason game for a final desicion on all of it

There is a good chance that Sage will be moved ahead of Feeley. Sage is a smart QB with a good arm that might just fit this system better than Feeley does. Who knows...? As for Berlin...it's just too hard to imagine him moving past anyone. He has mopped up against all the scrubs. He has looked good doing it, but imagine him against the 1st or 2nd teams.
