Feeley falling to #3???

There is a good chance that Sage will be moved ahead of Feeley. Sage is a smart QB with a good arm that might just fit this system better than Feeley does. Who knows...? As for Berlin...it's just too hard to imagine him moving past anyone. He has mopped up against all the scrubs. He has looked good doing it, but imagine him against the 1st or 2nd teams.

I'd REEEEEAAALLY Like to see Brock against the 1st and 2nd stringers. It would be beautiful if for the next game, they get Frerrotte to start...Brock to come in 2nd (only to see how he does against better players)...and Rosenfels 3rd (we already know more or less what Sage can do)...Then let Feeley come in and mop up against the scrubs at the end. I'd like to see if he'd look as good as Brock did against them...

No way he is not going to be a 3 with the money he is getting. I agree he isn't playing greeat but, he still will be the backup if he loses out to Gus

one of Saban's first points at his PC to make was that while in Cleveland, he regretted playing the bigger contract rather than the better player, and that now that he's the head guy, he wonuldn't make that same mistake again

edit: btw, Feeley is making the vet minimum this year, the only thing that they'd be on the hook for is the bonus if he was cut

Although Gus Frerotte has built an obvious lead over A.J. Feeley in the chase for Miami's starting quarterback spot, the advantage Feeley holds over Sage Rosenfels for the backup job apparently is closing.

And Brock Berlin also is gaining on Feeley as the former University of Miami player continues to make a case for a spot somewhere on the Dolphins roster.

He is to worried about TV interviews and looking pretty in his Visor on the sidelines. What was the deal with the eye black at a night game? hahahaha

Feeley is nothing more than a pretty boy wanting attention....he isnt worried about winning, he just wants PR.

All this speculation and not one of you is a coach. Just let it play out and see what happens when the season starts. All these threads because people like to see their name on a message board IMO. :shakeno:

It WOULD be interesting to see. Imagine hitting on a diamond as an undrafted free agent. Talk about a reversal of our fortune of the past 5 or so years.

I think the margin has grown considerably. I was able to watch the game finally last night and Gus didn't look bad at all. He was making the right reads, he just overthrew the receivers. That is a timing issue that will work itself out. The fact that he made the proper read though is more important. Feeley threw a horrible pass to get intercepted. Newson was doulbe teamed. Also, he threw at least two other passes that were complete to the ground and would have ad a second interception on his record if Terry Cousin would have gotten his feet down.

People have to look at the tape and not just the stats to see the differences.

There's no way to know if he can swim unless Saban pushes him in the pool. The deep end, preferably.

I'm sure he's still picking up the system, but they might as well throw him there (at least a series or two) against players who are better than 4th stringers, to see how he does.
