Feeley+Gordon+Thompson for some qb's

two word for why we shouldent trade- cap penalties theres no reason to take any no matter how small save the cap room for good fa next year

By trading these 3 players our cap penalties would not be substantial. And the benefits of finding our future qb outweight those penalties.
Remember how much money Feeley will cost next year!

i think the qb of the future will be found in the draft. Young from texas looks like hes gona be good in the pros he can run if he needs to and with our o-line we need a mobile qb.

My opinion is that we should cut Feeley loose and let Gus start the season. He can go all season as far as I'm concerned. Then we should bring in Couch and evaluate him all season long. He won't know the offense well enough to start for a long while, but it will give Saban an up close and personal way of evaluating him. If he's not the answer cut him before next years draft and pick up a QB. There is no harm in this, and theres a chance it could turn out great, yet still gives us the option of taking a QB next year.

Reggie McNeal ,Omar Jacobs, and Young are all mobile Qb's but they are all question marks as of now.
If you look at most draft experts none of these guys are ranked in the top 20 for next years draft.
The draft is loaded with OL help, an area that we desperatelly need help at. Wouldnt it be nice if we can find a qb now and get a mammoth LT with our first pick next year

agree...Im ok with that. My point with this post is that we need to bring in somebody now and see what they have. And not just sit pat and wait till next year to bring in a rook and see if he can be our qb of the future. Lets do soemthing now and if it doesnt work..what have we lost?

get them second round o-line first or get Leinart with the first pic then o-line in second round and in FA

I don't think the season is a wash, but I think everyone knew the rebuilding process was going to take time. You would be hard pressed to pickup anyone's 2nd string QB this time of the year because positions are set for the start of the regular season and that would require that team to reevaluate their available talent and maybe go out themselves and pick up another second stringer.
