Feeley played with some heart toward the end of the season last year but he did make a few bone headed plays. He needs to cut way down on his INT's and he did make use look like a team there against the pat's. Is Frerotte better? His stats don't look all that good yet there not as many INT's the last year he played. I think in the Preseason they sould play them with the first as much as they can to see which one will be a better starter and we do have Five perseason Games to see who would be the better choice. Who would you start?

The way I see it, Wanny traded for Feeley, not Saban. Saban has no ties to Feeley what-so-ever. Saban did however go after Frerotte who already knows his Offensive Co-Ordinators system and is a proven leader. Who better to lead the team through its rebuilding (or reloading) years? Frerotte will be the starter in 05. Go get your jerseys now.

Same difference. Besides he wont be here much longer either.

The point is Saban doesnt give a f*&$ about Feeley, Frerotte is his guy.

Based on their training camp and preseason performances, I would choose... oh wait, they haven't had those yet! Imagine that!

A Gus jersey? Even if he starts (God, I hope not) this year, he will not start next year. We will get someone in the offseason and start fresh. And why would you want to start rebuilding with Gus? Wouldnt a younger QB with potential make more sense?

I think I would do what Saban suggested... play the best player when the time comes. Seems simple. Next thread.

Why would anyone care about who our starter is this season?

Neither of these bums will be on the roster in 06!

I think Frerotte will start this year and next. Gus will play out the year, Feeley will be traded next year and we will draft a QB with a high pick. The young QB will learn under Gus (C. Palmer style) for a year and then take the reigns. Gus has several more years ahead of him, why not use 'em?

As far as would I want a young QB during the rebuild, No. QB is the one position you want to be stable at. A young new QB with no experience in a new offence with new players is set to fail. See Joey Harrington and the Lions. Have Gus use his veteran leadership to help build the new offence. Then let the young QB come into a stable, proven situation and let him learn.

Frerotte. Why else would Frerotte leave Minnesota?? The Vikes did lose Linehan, however, Loney runs the same exact offense. Gus is here to start I assure you.
