Feeley v Frerotte

Im tired of the feeley bashing, Gus is not good he went to the pro bowl in 97 you say??? that was what like 8 years ago......... Come on this is feeley's show so ride the gus train somewhere else!

Obviously Saban is comfortable letting Feeley and Frerotte sort out the starting QB. I don't think having Frerotte start is necessarily a bad thing - he's familiar with the offense, he did well when Culpepper was out. He, admittedly, had more weapons than we did, but still - whoever is the best option to win games should start. I think Frerotte could start for two years. Just an opinion.

I agree. I think Frerotte is the better QB in this offense. Feeley will be given the chance to compete. But, I don't think he'll win.

No one's really bashing Feeley. If he wins the job, he wins the job. But, others are entitled to their opinion that Feeley won't be good enough. He's yet to prove that he is.

Frerotte, however, has shown that he can excell in this offense. He's a better QB than he was in the 90's. There are a slew of QB's who have gone through the same sort of process of being inconsistent early in their careers and then experience kicks in and they begin to excell. I think this will be the case with Frerotte. But, he's not going to be handed the job.
